Who are the preferred tuners using HP Tuners?

Interested in getting some leads on the best tuners using HPTuners software. More interested in better driving characteristics with morepower rather than all out power.

Any suggestions?

I thank you for that, much needed data. I'm familiar with Jay Greene but honestly never heard of Demon Motorsports (not that that means much!). I'm really looking for the most experienced/best tuner that uses HPT

Matt at Demon is starting to get a pretty decent rep for tuning the trucks.Either Matt or Jay would be the ones to try if your south of the border,if your north of the border in Canada Chris Zelinsky is every bit as good as either Jay or Matt,and probably has more experience with HP then the other 2 put together.

ok HPTuners MPVI2 is on order w/2 universal credits. Once that gets here I can scan the stock tune, save file and then email back to HPT when I order a new unlocked PCM. I'll keep you posted!

update: finally did a stock PCM/TCM read, sent it to HPTuners with an order for an unlocked PCM! Needing to lock down a tuner now

Just an FYI. Jay Greene said he wouldn't tune my truck because "it would take too long" I don't know what about tuning my truck would have taken such a long time but I'll never ask again.
Matt Brown on the other hand answered my questions really quickly and quoted me a price that was about $100 less than what Greene initially quoted me.

That's weird, you're missing out though, his tunes are amazing and his support is the best of any product or service I've used. I wonder why he would say that.

Weird any tuner would say that, it’s not like he would have had to build a tune from scratch, just improve on the whipple tune. Had a local guy do mine and literally took less than an hour of driving around doing pulls before we got it dialed in.

Ryan Hogan of Flying Ryan Tuning is another decent tuner that's also using HP and doing e-mail tunes.

I’ve been using HPT since 2006. Back then we didn’t have all these learning sources. It was more question/answers In HPTuners forums. If you want accelerated training I guess you can shell the $2k ? Damn.

EFI concepts are pretty much the same across platforms. Much of the changes will be found on how to implement fueling and timing. I’d suggest you if you have the time to go and check YouTube for EFI tuning hptuner tutorials. There is plenty out there to get you started.

Get a read on your pcm and save the file. Open it and check what you have. Get familiar with the interface, menus etc in the VCM editor, and VCM logs.

You can start tuning simple things like your fans for example, you’ll find no need for a colder thermostat if you simply move the fan turning on temp.

As your confidence build up you can start doing more stuff. Ill ask a lot of questions in HPTuner forum. Read read read and ask, combine that with all the YouTube tutorials and you can be tuning in no time without spending $2k

It takes a little more time of course but that’s the fun of it.

Does Sean/Hemifever use HP? Assumed he would. I've used Hemifever and Jay for my tunes as I went through transitions, both were awesome. I started with Sean then went to Jay when I bought one of his cam setups. For my particular driving style I thought Sean may have had a slightly better tune, but Jay has my truck tuned for the cam, headers, SC, and a bunch of other mods. If I hadn't have bought his cam package I doubt he would have spent the time on my truck and he's a bit more expensive than others now.

I just swapped emails with Sean in regards to tuning my 14. He said he uses diablosport. Jay tunes with hp.

Did a few closed course runs today, 6k shifts are firm but not harsh = veeeery nice!
