Why is Dodge Ram not on drop down menus?

Has anyone else noticed this? Whenever I do a search of any kind, insurance , car values etc. the choices are about 8 different cars but Ram or any other truck is not an option. Kelly Blue book was the last one I tried and the same thing. Anyone know why they are excluded?

Dodge and ram were no longer “together” after 2010 so any 2010 and newer dodge list should not include a ram truck under that category anymore. They will have RAM as the make. Older than 2010 so 09 and older lists will have ram truck under the dodge category.

I've never not seen Ram on drop down menus for anything I've looked up for my truck. KBB, online auto parts, insurance websites. All have had it when I have used them.

Sorry apparently some websites use dodge as the model up to 2010 and then ram as the model after. Not 2009.

Mine is a '12 and here's my build sheet and window sticker so mine is a Dodge Ram to me. Others disagree but both of mine say Dodge and that's what I am going to go by. You can call yours what you want, we all know where Ram came from.

For purposes of marketing and franchising, RAM became it's own brand instead of Dodge's truck line up. 2012 is the last year with "Dodge" anywhere on the vehicle, and that's limited to the little coin tray above the radio. So you'll have to select "RAM" under the brand/make drop down box and then 1500 or whatever under the model drop down box.

The absolute worst vehicle I ever had to try and find in parts lookups was a 1971 IHC Scout II. Many parts books did not recognize that the vehicle existed, insisting that the Scout II was not available until 1972. Of course, Scouts of that era were a frankenstein's monster of parts anyway, so even if you looked it up the information you got was often of limited utility. For example, a total of 5 different transmissions were possible and the only way to know which you had was to crawl under and look or have the build sheet. VIN lookup obviously wasn't a thing yet, and even IHC didn't keep track. It was just a 'whatever was on the assembly line that day' system.

So, I try to keep the Ram/Dodge/Chrysler/FCA/Stellantis thing in perspective.

On websites I noticed a lot of variants on naming, but it shouldn't be that hard to figure out with a little bit of drop-down menu scrubbing. Knowing your full model information is key. I have a 2021 Ram Warlock and believe me I've learned how to find what I need because almost no website I've been on in three weeks lists Warlock. Even crazier is I've seen websites list Dodge even though it's a RAM. I've learned to jump right to 1500 classic and not worry about seeing Ram Dodge or Warlock.

My 2014 Ram 1500 is listed on the PA state registration as a 2014 Dodge "TK". No mention of Ram anywhere. I chalk all of this up to lazy ignorance or ignorant laziness. No biggie. Just have to muddle through but it always irks me each year when I renew.

I have seen instances where my truck is still listed as a Dodge. I can't think of the last website I was on where I saw this, but what I had to do was first search under Dodge, then select the 2500 model, then select the year. There are some websites out there that still classify it as a Dodge just because that's how the search software was developed. And as I said, I've seen it a couple times so I'm assuming it's the same developer.
