The chain notches aren’t lined up but the mark on the sprocket is pretty much 12 o clock. Would you call this tdc?

This is before I remove the chain by the way. Wanted to make sure it’s correct before I remove the chain.

It really doesn't matter at this point if you are removing the chain to pull the cam.

You will have to make sure the cam and crank are in their proper positions and reinstall the chain according to the timing marks when you reassemble.

If you're not removing the oil pump then mark several places. Chain, guides, etc. Very hard to see the mark on the cam sprocket with oil pump on.

IMO leaving the oil pump in place is playing with fire. Doable, yes, but you have to make triple sure everything stays put.

Jump a tooth or two, and you're royally screwed.

Yup,and if you're reusing the chain and sprockets, tie the chain up,so it can't fall off the bottom sprocket, then just line the cam pin back up with the hole in the vvt sprocket.Cam bolt gets torqued to 90 lb-ft.
Read through Kurtis's thread on swapping the cam, post #4 has a picture of how we tied the chain up on my truck so it didn't fall off the bottom sprocket.
