Working tow mirror upgrade!

I would recommend keeping an eye on eBay and finding some OEM pull offs. Apparently the aftermarket ones don't change the adjustment angles when you flip them up from regular to tow position like the OEMs.

Find some black ones with the turn signal/puddle light, you can get them flashed on at a dealer using the tow mirror sales code and the codes "LEC" and "LEB".

Update: got the codes flashed to my truck (2014 Express CCSB 4x4) while I had my oil changed today.

Don't have my tow mirrors mounted yet, as I've only received one, but I pulled off my door panel and plugged it in, blinkers and puddle lamps are working!

Lucky you! I can't seem to find a dealer that has a clue what to do to get my mirrors working.

Service manager just has to add the tow mirror sales code to your vin on their computer, then flash the tow mirror code, LEC code, and LEB code to your truck. Mine didn't know how to but after telling them those two codes they figured it out. Your dealer just probably doesn't want to do it. I've seen some that are like that.

Woohoo! My tow mirrors are working. Thanks to everyone who posted codes and explained exactly what needed to be done. A little pricey here in NJ to get them flashed ($125 +tax) but I'm happy.

Can any of you Gus confirm that a 2012 passenger (non temp sensor) mirror will work on a newer (14) ram? I'm having the hardest time finding a passenger side.

Don't go through the dealer, they will kill you on the prices...ebay or 1AAUTO on here...I do have one for the drivers side for sale, temp sensor is missing so you would have to swap yours, but $75 shipped...its a chrome cap, OEM, blinker/puddle/heat tow

I got mine from 1AAUTO. Very good price and quality. I have traded trucks and decided to keep the non towing. They are power fold and want to keep that option. Good luck.

How hard is it to swap temp sensor ?

Pop the plastic clip piece out, plugs into a harness in the mirror. I bought this one to do the same thing, but ended up walking into a straight up trade for a complete set, so I never had to do it

Do you have pictures of the ones you have?

I looked around there are just so many different ones... That extend/slide, that have a large puddle light, small little blinker, and ones that flip up... Just not sure which ones worked for you.

What's the going rate for people are paying to get your truck flashed ? The stealership where I bought my truck wants $195 I called the next closest dodge dealership and they said $150

Also one more question is there a difference between a 2012 passenger chrome tow mirror to 2013? I have a 13 ram and my girlfriend just purchased a 12 chrome passenger tow mirror and I am worried about the fit. as far as my knowledge the only changes were to the driver side mirror with the temp sensor.

To the other guys that have already flashed their truck and installed mirrors...is the change when you flip up the mirrors not compensated for with the adjustment?

The mirrors I got are, as far as I can tell, OEM, but once flipped up, my adjustments are sideways, if you get what I mean.
