Ok it worked..but the software would not load on my windows 8.1 64it. I used a win7 VM i had preloaded on my laptop.

2014 express black edition.

*program Dball
*You really only are using T1 to connect and T into the ignition switch
*then T harness the OBD from the cover panel
*let it read the key twice - remove the key inbetween cycles-
*let it then reprogram your key into dball again to validate coding.

I thought that the software wasn't working on Win 8.1 but it turned out that the software wasn't playing well with the website so it didn't say that it found the loader but it worked when I made the choice for truck model and went just fine afterwards. I was really nervous because all of the computers in my house are Win 8.1 and I thought I was going to have to try to source a different computer.

Thanks for the write up! I am definitely looking to do this before Winter, I always forget until that first cold morning.

Does anyone know what the difference is between this kit or doing the factory kit from Mopar/Ram besides the ability to use your app on your phone?

the mopar has an annual/monthly cost to do it plus the kit.

Nice. So this does nothing different then the factory? I thought I read somewhere the factory one automagically sets heat or cool based on temp or am I imagining that?

Ye it worked great on my black 14 tradesman.

And you can program options you want like heated seats when you configure the Dball on the PC before you install it.
I posted about 4 port above this my results..

The toggle switch I believe tells the remote start that the hood is closed.

Got mine installed, works great. But now if I get out of my truck with it running, and the key in my pocket, the truck shuts off after 60 seconds. I've got an email in to Doug to see what's up.

I'm going to be attempting this on a dodge dart this weekend the only plugs that differ from when I did it on my 2012 ram is that you have to use the plugs for the obd2 but mainly you use the t harness for the ignition control and then the obd2 and all those other plugs can be ignored?

I wonder if there was a setting when you programm the module on the computer?

I've talked with Doug, and he isn't sure what the problem is. There was a setting for an alarm or something that was set for one minute. He wants me to unplug the DBall and see if it changes. Do I need to get another temp password from him to get back in the settings?
Other than that, it works great!
