So I noticed a torn upper balljoint boot a few weeks ago. Decided instead of oem uca’s I ordered a set of Zone UCA’s. Started the install today, easy work until I went to bolt on the wheel. The UCA projects out toward the tire more than the oem and was making contact with my sidewall. Frustrating. Reinstalled oem temporarily.
Option 1: HubCentric wheel spacers
Option 2: Oem UCA’s and sell the Zone’s
Leaning toward option 1 and cursing my getting stock offset wheels….Thoughts on correct spacers? Mfg’s?

My stock wheels cleared by 1/4” when I ran zone UCAs but it was stock size at tires. I think you can run a 10mm hubcentric spacer without cutting the studs. How much spacer do you need to clear? What’s done to your truck lift wise? The jba UCAs are a better choice in my opinion or icons.

bummer. If it were me I'd put a spacer on and keep the zone. What happened, you have the wrong offset rims? stock offset caused this?

I used to have all the upgrades listed lol. Bilstein leveled, 20x9 stock offset Moto Metal Sentry. Running LT305/55R20 Falken WP at3’s. MUCH wider tire to say the least…I am very leery of running the spacers. Almost considering new wheels with an offset as I never realized how close the sidewall is to the uca’s.

At that width it would be a good idea. A 0 offset 20x9 would be my choice unless you wanted a bit more out. I run a -12 offset which gives it a bit more push out. Have been eyeballing a set of methods with a 0 offset to pull it back in about 1/2” from where it sits now. But I’ve also been debating on going to a 17 instead of the 18x9 I run currently. Pictures is my 305/70r18 on an 18x9 -12 offset

I capitulated…ordered a Mopar OEM uca from RockAuto. Will just swap out the one with damaged bj boot. Almost traded this one in on a 5th gen…I have too much $ invested in this to start over. Just ticked over 80k.

Are they worth it ? When will they be here n how much?
They are going to be very much worth it ... should be on sale mid to late November according to Spence ..

Price hasn't been mentioned though, but the first prototype is already on their test truck being tested out on the trails ... they are huge, beefy and are going to be adjustable on the truck as you can tell by the pictures below ..

It was a consideration, but it adds another fail point and other dynamics. If I did it, I would do it right but my gut says no spacers.
I may have to put myself back in mod rehab…
Yup, having the extra studs and hardware sitting between the wheel and hub does add an additional fail point. But, it's a temp solution to get the offset you need until you get the right wheels. Doing it the right one the first time is definitely the way to go though.

Love my wheels…actually accent my truck. Silver is almost a dead on match. I can get them in a -18 I think…

Well I had a chat with MotoMetal, my wheels were discontinued so my chances of finding my set in a -18 are nada. I shouldve bought the set with the offset. So I called Bora and chatted with them. I was concerned about the wheelcentric aspect of the spacer. We know the hub is 77.8, but my wheels hub are 78.1. That is less than third of a mm. Negligible difference, concerns alleviated. Ordered a set of 1.5’s. My wheels have stud pockets, so now grinding studs. I will give them a shot, but I am eyeing a set of 20x12 wheels. Main goal is to get some space between the inner sidewall and the upper control arm. Ive always had a rub on the sway bar, might cure that too.
