Just drove 600 miles to Orlando/Disney/Universal. 22 mpg @ 78 mph most of the way.

Sounds like a fun swap! Would love to hear about how it changed the character of the truck!
Keep us updated.
It's a 16, 8 spd, CC 4wd 3.92 L/S with HF 90 octane tune. Before, I would comfortably drive with traction partially disabled in tow/haul(ass) no matter the weather. Now, I'm a little wary of doing so. She's rowdy. Turn off TC & tow/haul on, she's a damn monster. Did a 3 gear downshift (5-2 or 6-3) at WOT pinned me to the seat this morning. About 75 to 95 takes roughly 2 seconds & doesn't struggle. Before it was quick at that speed, but kind of disappointing compared to lower speeds. Slight accel without downshift is smooth & noticeable, the torque difference can be felt. Traction is a bit of an issue though. I'm trying to go easy & learn the quirks, plus I restudded my tires last year & kinda want them to last. It's a bit of a learning curve, but I'm also kind of glad I did it in winter, so I'm forced to learn right now instead of next year at first snow. I absolutely cannot wait til spring. I've already told my service advisor we should just order a t-case now, cause I'm pretty sure I'll be needing it. Also told our warranty admin that I have a feeling my t-case will be "evacuating all fluid". I'm also wondering if swapping for my buddies 3.21 axles would help out.And timeslips, please...unless you don't plan to run it at the strip!
That's awesome! You got to do a full write up for us when you get it finished and on the road. I've seen one other guy do the truck 6.4 but that's small potatoes HP/TQ wise compared to what you're doing. You planning on any performance mods(not that you necessarily need them) and/or running down the drag strip?
I ordered a carbon fiber interior trim kit from R Vinyl.com. Something happened with the shipping along the way but it showed up last night. This kit comes with enough vinyl to cover pretty much everything in your Ram and you can order just about any color or pattern you want.
It’s a little more than I need, I don’t plan on going crazy with it. Unfortunately, there isn’t an option to order individual pieces/sheets. This makes all the hassle I went through getting the radio bezel covered (twice now) pretty much unnecessary. If only I found this site sooner. Son of a...
I was considering trying to trim a left over roll of carbon fiber vinyl out to cover the console shifter area and now, thankfully, I don’t have to go through that nightmare. I’ll post photos when it’s done if anyone is interested. First impressions are good, everything is precut to exact measurements and appears to be very good quality vinyl.

Just got my new tips in from the powder coat today, they came out great! The new 5" tip on the left and the factory 4" tip on the right. Bunch cheaper then Moe's or Carven. What do you all think?
