Got my B&M sport shifter put on today despite a heavy work load. Took longer to separate the stock cover plate from the dialer than I did to get the new one on.

How do you like it?

Love it! Much easier to turn being bigger with the lugs on the perimeter. Actually feels more accurate, I think the screw was too loose when i removed the stock dial.

Also looks MUCH better to me than the silver knob. Gives the dash what it needed.

Yeah, mine was pretty tough to get off, too. Hopefully if I ever decide to put the stock knob back on, I can somewhat buff out the scratches I put on it. Even with the smallest precision screwdriver I had, I still boogered up the cap a little bit.

I used a very small blade to get my cap off. The glue they put on there was pretty stoubt, they did not want that thing coming off. The B&M has an O-ring that fits very tightly and I like that because it’s going to be easier to remove if I ever have to replace it, which I do not count on doing.

Take a very fine metal file and lightly buff the surface of what you scratched. Luckily the plastic they used is the same color throughout so if you wind up taking off a little it won’t show a different color.

I figured if that day comes, I might just bust out the dremel with a buffing wheel on it and see how that works.

I’m currently looking for one of those shifter knob decals to cover up B&M’s logo.

I don't mind the lettering. Here's what my old one looks like after the file work.

Nice knob. Are the words just stickers?

I know the voices in my head aren’t real, but man, do they ever come up with some great ideas

Drove a couple hundred miles to Hillsboro Tx. to have breakfast with a couple of Marines and fellow forum members SoCal and McBroom. Great time visiting with friends and the chow wasn't bad either. SoCal has a new PW that's really sharp and McBroom's truck looked great as usual.

How hard was it to find the single zone bezel?

Still haven't found a single zone for a reasonable price. This is a dual zone that I got from a member here for the cost of shipping pretty much! This forum rocks!

Just finished pulling block. Now I can get block and heads to machinist and the rest of the truck goes to the shop to have it all installed back :). Saved half the labor pulling it myself and organizing everything for re-install at the shop.
