And that matters why? I haven’t driven any of the new 5th Gens but that doesn’t need to happen to fully base my decision. One of the main things I don’t like about them is if you want the higher-end model, you pretty much have to settle for all that lane departure/front collision warning/and blind spot warning radar ********. Glad my 18 limited hasn’t that crap. You actually have to DRIVE my truck and pay the **** attention to what you’re doing because it ain’t gonna beep at you if you get outta lane, and it ain’t gonna hit the brakes if you are occupied with whatever distraction you’re occupied with other than driving.
Can’t imagine why....lol. They try to make **** better as the years go by so there’s no mystery there. Lol.
You bought it used- but you say it wasn’t from lack of maintenance. Look, I know the 5.7 Hemi’s have a well known and well documented issue with the MDS Lifters and the cam; there’s no argument but how you do your maintenance and what products you use when you do your oil changes greatly affects your chances of falling victim to that. Excessive idling, using cheap oil and filter and keeping that oil in there too long is one of the major things that contributes to that.
I don’t know if your new one has those cool factory LED headlights or not but for one, yeah- those are a vast improvement but being that we have the aftermarket, there’s no excuse for settling with **** bulbs in the older trucks. Matter of fact, I’ve heard countless whining about the 4th Gen premium projector headlights but you know, if you yank those cheesy ****** stock bulbs out and put some good ones in there, they’re actually pretty badass. I really didn’t need to spend about 450 bucks on HID lowbeams, LED highbeams and fog lights because just the simple $170 I spent several months prior on stuffing Sylvania ZxE’s in my brights, lows and fogs was far better than stock but with the HID’s and LEDs, I really cannot imagine any....... aftermarket or better factory headlights in anything being truly better cost justifing and effective than just a simple bulb upgrade to HID and LED but yes, I know, there’s people who will argue that and that’s fine. All I’m saying is that I truly have no rhyme or reason to ever drop 12, $1300 on any new set of aftermarket headlights.
