So, I ran out of split firewood and needed to get some. Local gent had slab wood for $30 loaded....heck yeah, I borrowed my brothers dump trailer. 14ft high side to go get it. 7 front end loader buckets and it was filled to the top.
The trailer weighs just shy of 4000lbs empty and has a GRVW of 14000lbs. The tongue weight scale is reading a little over 1300lbs. So I would say I had just about max towing on the back for my truck. I was probably over by a bit with my GCVWR. I kept it slow on the back roads and the speed limit on the highway. Boy does it ride nice with the weight back there.
I know I wouldn't have a problem with a light 5th wheel with this truck.
