It's posted at the Cenex in Hayward. Perhaps enforcement is nonexistent, as I posited?
On my way home from the jobsite I filled up my car at kwik trip. It had the top tier sticker on the pump but all four corners you could see where someone had tried to peel it off.

Had to pickup my daughter so I took the truck to Cenex and at least at this one the 91 with no ethanol had no mention of not being able to use it in vehicles. They did have top tier stickers on the pumps. And no sign of someone trying to take them off. Only the 91 didn't have ethanol in it. 87 and 89 both did.

Both gas stations were in Chippewa Falls. Home of Leinenkugels

Who knows? Maybe Scooter rescinded the corn squeezin's? Depending on where the donations came from. I haven't been over for a while.

Did Cenex have Top Tier stickers? Looking at the brand list today, they DID remove Kwik Trip already, and left Cenex on the list.

Cenex did have them.

I posted before about kwik trips having top tier fuel here but maybe I was just seeing the stickers that weren't or like I saw today a bad attempt to remove the stickers from their pumps.

Could just be coincidence but a guy I work with has been driving his truck 2018 ram 2500 with the 5.7 for work a lot lately since it's winter. For work we have a gas card for kwik trip so that means he's only been getting gas from there lately. Today he was telling me his truck hasn't been running like it "was in the summer." He wasn't complaining about gas mileage just a rougher idle.

I did a search for "top tier" gasoline where I reside in NW Louisiana and the results were every fueling station was a "top ten" rated gas station ... Walmart being at the top of the list beating out Chevron/Shell/Exxon as "top ten"...

So, I suppose there isn't an "top tier gas station" in the whole dang state, just top tens out of tens, out of tens ...

No - remember I said I wrote Kwik Trip a week or two ago and they wrote back telling me they're pulling Top Tier? Well, they did!

Yep I remember. When I said I posted before about it it was right before you emailed them in the oil thread.

Yeah who gets to decide what I collect?

I wanted to insure my truck with Hagerty because my two old Mustangs are insured with them, and I have a pretend Jeep for daily driving duties. The Ram gets the fewest miles on it per year of all of them and considering it's a RCSB that's somewhat of a rarity these days. But Hagerty insisted it cannot be a collector vehicle. If it was a 2023 Corvette it would be, (by their standards) and if it was a 1985 RCSB dodge pickup it would be.. seems real arbitrary.

Yeah, definitely get that when you can. There's a remote place I camp sometimes and all they carry is ethanol free 92 octane. My truck loves that stuff for sure.

Do be careful with the "recreational use only" as that could mean it's not taxed and you can get in trouble if caught using in a vehicle on the road. In my area there is "farm diesel" available. It's a different color and police will randomly pull people over and take a dip in your tank to check the color. I've heard it's a pretty big fine if you get caught evading the taxes.
Ahhh! Yes! Cops violating your 4th amendment rights, yet again. If a cop stopped me and wanted a sample of my fuel, I'd challenge him/her with the need for them to have a search warrant.... Even then, they have no proof YOU put it in the tank, unless they have documentable evidence you did. After all, there might have been some of that fuel in the ground tank where you bought the gas. That's just one exampled of reasonable doubt.

So stopped at that Sheetz last night and prices are now back to 'normal'. Regular is 3.39, ethanol free is 3.99 and higher grades are in between. Last week they were all 3.39. Oddly, average price around here is 3.79 but since Sheetz opened a few weeks ago all stations in town are all 3.39. Go out of town a few miles away and it's 3.79.

In my state. https://mdt.mt.gov/business/fueltax/dyed-aware.aspx
the reason people get caught is their buddies drop the dime on them and some are stupid enough to fill up their rigs in front of the world. Most all the pumps are on video as well. I have never heard of anyone actually getting pulled over to be dipped. it appears the first two incidents are a civil process. My guess is they review the video and you get a letter in the mail.

The turbo 6.5 Liter GM engines of the 90's had a light sensitive sensor in the injector pump.... seems as it used infra red for fuel timing control. Owners would put the red farm fuel into the tank.... and, wonder of wonders, the truck would die and not run until the fuel had been replaced and the system purged and bled of the red fuel!

Since some members questioned my memory banks (as do I frequently), here are some pics from Holiday Station in far north suburbs of Minneapolis, MN.

Note non-alcohol gasoline is ILLEGAL for on-road cars and trucks. This station carries 91 octane with and without alcohol, as does Kwik Trip.

There are NO Top Tier gasoline stickers anywhere on the pump island. I looked all over it. I wrote Holiday to ask why, because they're still on Top Tier's list.
Recall I wrote to Kwik Trip, and shortly after they took their name off the list indefinitely.
