look at all the mods in my Sig...... then look at the rwhp.... that should give you an idea of where you'll be. If you want to be in the 450 range, look at fi setups, forged internals, New trans, stroker kit, etc.

I would think your rwhp would be higher. There's a guy on HTC with a Crazy Jay and headers with basic bolt ons. Stu did the install and dyno tuned it. Put down 333 rwhp.

If you are just planning the basics, cam/heads/headers/tune/gears, your trans should be alright, you won't be near the 450 range though. If you plan on getting into that range, a new trans is going to be in your list, whether you want it to be or not lol.

there are other factors that go into it, it could be higher one place and lower another, depends on the dyno used, calibration, temps etc. etc.... track times though I'm in the mid to low 13's consistently and times are what matter.

Would I be near 400? Thats all I'm worried about.

400 crank or 400rwhp.... which are you after?

RWHP no, probably between the 320-340 range (you are technically starting around the 240ish rwhp range stock)

At the crank, probably close to the 400 mark

.... No lol

But I'm just trying to get a lot for a little. I know it sounds dumb. But eventually I'll supercharge it, and bottle fed

The big goal, is to make it have 600 at the crank.

Whatever it takes for my 5.7 to get there.

This one is staying around for a LONG time.

Im 450 at the crank, 350 to the ground without the verter when we dyno'd it. If your 2wd then you wont have as much drivetrain loss as I do being a 4x4. If you want cheap HP you can always bottle feed the motor but you have to take baby steps to make sure its safe (yes I know you said that was not an option but its a cheap 150 HP). I will always be a firm believer in stock 5.7 pistons are not forgiving. You need to add heads to your list also like the others have said. The SRT MAX would tec fit and run in a stock head truck but your choking it out. You would also get less performance then say a smaller cam with the stock heads. If you go that direction and a DSP tuner or Trinity will be on the list along with an A/F meter. Far as stall its gonna be a high stall to put you in your powerband and make daily driving alill ruff.

Do more research. The fact that you listed a SRT max cam with a flashpaq tells me you need to really investigate what you want from your truck before you start buying parts to throw at it.

Dyno numbers are fun, but track times are what really show how much power you are making. With the mods you listed, you would likely be in the 350rwhp range. You are going to need a custom tune with Diablo instead of Superchips though, and I would look into a smaller cam that will give you more tq than the SRT Max.

Dyno numbers do vary by location, but I made 344hp/357tq with an intake, longtubes, TB, superchips, 6.1 cam, and efan. I kept the 3.92 gears and also had a 3000 stall converter. I tried to dyno again after adding the heads and cam, but I snapped my driveshaft off in the middle of the pull.

I would be more focused on getting your truck into the mid 13's than working to get a piece of paper that says 400hp.

Yeah I've already been through this in another thread. Search srt Max Cam. Lethal hemi has run that cam, it will not do well in a quad cab application. Ive found a pretty aggressive cam from PPP that looks good on paper for a quad cab. 216/220 duration 562/560 lift 112LSA, it's similar to a comp 268 but with more lift. That cam with some Big valve heads will wake it up but you're gonna want to go with at least a 2800 stall converter and 4.56 gears. Custom tune is a must. Sean at hemifever does some good tuning.

I agree with Ken on the pistons not being forgiving. I watched a guy spread his bottom end across the track this weekend running a 150 shot on stock bottom end. He made 2 passes and on the third one it let go at the 60'.

^Thats the worst feeling. First time I just broke a ring land, the fallowing year #3 and #4 rods and pistons decided to say F you in the sand and knock some windows in my block. Im still thankful to this day it happened in the sand and not in the 1/4.

My parents refuse to drive my truck... even with the simple mods I've done. Says it scares them toz drive it. Don't know why they think its dangerous.

well at least you wont have to worry about them taking your truck to go to the store or whatever like my parents do lol... they love my truck and take it out every chance they get!
