Connect to the BCM then go to the battery icon on the bottom. Hit the following buttons:
D2tUV5F.jpg
After that, hit the button with the wrenches on it and hit upload to google drive.
FihDejF.jpg

Repeat the steps for the HSM. It is under "Driver Seat" in the second drop down then select HSM MY2013-2017 PowerNet.

Attached are the logs. I looked at them and couldn't see anything odd, but then again I am not experienced with this.

I’m sure Roman217 may comment also, but I compared your BCM to mine using Notepad++. Other than the normal things that are different, you have diesel, I have gas, etc. I have a BigHorn and you have at least a Laramie (Longhorn?) with those goodies, nothing stood out as different that may cause your issue. When I added the UAQ, I did SDAR as you did which I noticed, but I thought there was another activation but I don’t specifically recall it as I did mine some time ago. My seats work and yours don’t, and I wasn’t much help. .

It is more help than you would think. At least I know at this point that I am not missing something obvious. Mine is a Laramie is also deleted. I have been playing the the tune on it to see if there are any changes it makes to the BCM but haven't been able to see anything. Is your HSM the same part number as well? I am thinking maybe that might be something to look at as there are a couple different ones. Still have the feeling that it is a firmware issue on the radio because the old radio works just fine controlling the seats.

I just did HSM: they are different. I have not run either either number to know if there is a difference, but my settings, etc., work just fine. Maybe this will help you out. Good Luck!

Thanks, I looked up both part numbers. Yours is a later revision and it looks like my part number is only used in the 2016 Ram from what I can see, but your was used in multiple years. 68217268AF is the latest revision that says it is compatible so I am going to try that I guess. Found it for about $75.

I’d be most interested when you get the other part the results. Did the other guy ever respond? It’s always good to have a 3rd set of eyes see all!

My 2015 Laramie has a 68217268AB (firmware AB) and the 2014 GC Summit I tried is 68217268AA (firmware AA). In theory, given that yours is a later revision than both of the ones I tried, it should work with the UAQ. Having said that, FCA has done weird things with firmware revisions in the past so who knows. The AF revision is the latest and seems to supersede all the various HSM part numbers from all the years.

I don't see anything in the BCM config either. It pretty well matches the same settings I have for heated and vented seats.

Looking for insight here... have a 15 1500 sport (Canadian truck in US) have went from 8.4 non nav to 8.4 nav and now UAQ without any issues, but the camera app icons are not appearing in the app screen to be able to drag down into main bottom row. I have it in the typical spot in controls, but wondering why I cant get it to show in apps. When i had the 8.4 nav I purposely used an older sw version to be able to have that, worked fine, but not doing it with UAQ which was out of a 17 ram. All other features work even after updating the UAQ sw from 18 something to the 22.6. Now even more curious as I see in beardedcontractors pics they have the camera split into two icons... I would love that! I do have the tailgate cam and the third brake light chmsl oem cam (waiting on kaodtech for a long time to have inventory on the harness) just not wired in, but from what I know that does not come into this reasoning. I have alfaobd and well versed in it, no luck with turning stuff off and back on etc. Anyone have insight on why?

Finally able to pick a part from the wreckers, found a 2018 radio, VIN says it’s a 2018 Ram on the software update page, I have the media hub and connector coming, I’ll install the radio on Saturday, I hope it works. I am unsure if this is a navigation or not, appears to be a UCS. Anybody know of any issues with this particular radio?

I don't believe that has the built-in navigation, it would have the part # of: 68331631A* (the * changes per revision).
Google Maps and/or Waze is a lot better than the built-in navigation except it doesn't do the EVIC turn-by-turn, but I wouldn't loose any sleep over not having it(especially if you got a good deal).

That appears to be a 2019/2020 ram classic Canadian UCS non-nav radio based on several sites I've found.

2019/2020 RAM classic Canadian 8.4 UCS non-nav

That’s what I was thinking, even with my current nav, I find myself still using google maps on my phone lol!

So I recently took the plunge to upgrade my 8.4 from my 2016 Ram 3500 to the 2018 8.4 UConnect with car play. I have read a lot about it before I did the swap and thought I was prepared until I discovered that the radio I had (68331631AE) was missing the FAKRA connectors for the FM radio ant and the 4G. More searching found a post that talked about where to get them if missing. My disappointment was that this was not in this post which could have saved me some time. It's possible that somewhere in the 286 pages someone mentions it but why it wasn't at the beginning, I don't know. Seems like it is important enough that it should have been included. That said, I appreciate those that have taken so much time and effort to get a majority of the information in one central location. It was a great help. I have had absolute success. Everything works as intended. Thank you.

I am not sure what this refers to that the EVIC won't show turn by turn. My 2019 UAS unit in my 2018 does. Is it something to do with Canadian units? Just wondering. Thanks

So your saying that your UAS while using Android Auto/Car Play turn by turn shows up in EVIC where you normally see the speedometer?
The factory Nav radios will show left/right turns there.
