My truck will have 11" lift on 38s. Won't be able to reach up to access the ramboxes from the ground anyway. Plus it's gonna cost me a few grand. Should i just keep my stock bed, or get the ram box?

I have a 2018 w/Ramboxes, for me they are great. My truck is stock, so getting into the boxes is OK.
One problem you will have w/Ramboxes is the lack of accessories,e.g., tonneau cover or camper shells. Due to the hinge arrangement, most tonneau will not fit due to the side rails. Camper shells normally require the complete bed rail, not with RamBoxes.

As far as usefulness they are great, I could still slide in a full sheet of plywood, no problem.

Good Luck

You should post a trade in the classified section. There is always someone wanting to go one way or the other.

I personally will never own a truck without Ramboxes again. They are the best thing to happen to truck beds ever...

Not gonna lie, it was number one on my list...but if I cant reach in and grab a cold one, it's kinda pointless. Lok
Rambox is awsome. No junk in my cab, a bit harder to steal tools. No mess in the bed. And I've packed them full of ice and drinks many times. Can you just step up on the wheels?

There are many tonneau covers for ramboxes. I have one for a 1500 sitting in my garage if anyone wants to buy it. Needed a new one for the 2500.

it's kinda like 4x4. you don't need it till you do. and then you would pay anything to have it. so if you have! it it's there.

And that's the best comment on this thread...to me, RamBoxes are indeed like sliced bread. Yep, I agree they don't make our trucks look great, but dang, dudes, it'a truck, not a sports car! "Man, your Ram has some smooth lines," said nobody ever. Trucks, by most everyone's definition, are made to haul, so I've no problem with hatches on my truck bed.

OK, whew, just had to get that off my chest...OP, get the RamBoxes. They're awesome.

Love my Ramboxes, but if ya can't reach 'em, that's the point of spending all that money?

I have the RAM boxes and love them. I think you answered your own question.

I like having a trunk, and this is the closest there is to it.
However, my truck is my daily driver, and not lifted.

I love my ramboxes. Right side-tire changing station: rollaround jack, heavy lug wrench (2), caution cones, gloves, safety vest, wheel chocks, wd-40, old floor mat to sit on, flashlight #2. Left-side: first aid kit, small tool box, tow strap, jumper cables, tarp, hitch insert, other ball (have 1-7/8 and 2"), wiring plug adapters, flashlight #3). Under rear seat I keep survival stuff (blanket, candle, water, granola bars, TP, spare flashlight & batteries).

Good idea on the floor mat. I use one of my wife's old yoga mats. Roles up nicely...

Just recently did a Rambox swap from a standard crew cab bed. However, I don't have the necessary harness to connect the locks and LED lights that the new Rambox came with. Anyone willing to share some photos or possibly check if a part number is available for such a wire harness. Thanks in advance.

This may help. Go back to the beginning and put your truck in with options, it will show you what you need
