I checked with Vice Design and the control box relo kits should start shipping Tuesday. Apparently they ran out of kits last week but they said they were making more so it’s not going to be an issue.

In the meantime I gave the coilovers two more turns and got her to 39 3/4 in the front. Also put back the tailgate carrier. I don’t know if I will install the Carli Panhard bracket. I was bored when I ordered it :) But we’ll see. Still waiting on that to arrive in the mail.

How much down travel do you have left in those coilovers???

That bumper looks great!! Can't wait to see it all buttoned up.

I have to say, for the little inconvenience I would toss that carli bracket on. It doesn't seem like a big change, but I can say it really helped my rear end feel better, and you have a lot more supporting mods. That being said, you also load out pretty damn heavy when you go out, so you aren't running alot of rear height. It can't hurt, but you know your truck better than any of us. Unloaded it helped calm the rear end down, but i dont think you're ever Unloaded!

Ty bro.
I have about 2.75-3" left. Never had an application so difficult to check. One hour I read 39 3/4 the other 39 1/2 haha.

I have 14 open threads in the driver side, 13 in the passenger now. Keep in mind I had 11 and 10 before the new bumper and that is what I had when I was running the 37's.

CO preload is:
Driver: 1 3/8" above the adjuster
Passenger: 1 1/4 aboe the adjuster

Measuring the truck in my driveway which has an small incline i have 40" front on both sides
with 40" ground to fender
At ride height top hat to shock lower nut eyelete
Driver: 20 3/4
Passenger: 20 3/4

With the truck as level as i can find i'm measuing 39 3/4, that puts the top hat to nut at 20 5/8. either way is less than 21" so i'm more than ok

Also found out my rear shocks are longer in compression than I what I thought. They're prob 19" long and I had asked King for 18 or 18.5"
I called them yesterday with the order number and nobody could give me the specs compressed so I went out to the mountain for a little test this morning. ended up adding another 1" bumstop for a total of 2" when I got home.
Also ended up extending the brake bracket on the rear driver side by about 1".

Will post some pics next as well.

Testing rear shock max bump
50365167038_90d5424e6d_k.jpg2020-09-20_06-09-52 by RAM RSM, on Flickr

This is why i wanted to add another extra 1" bumpstop extension. The shocks should have internal bumptops and i'd imagine they're big fackers but just in case.

With the shock at full bump above, the bumpstop doesnt touch on the pad

Rear brake line is literally extended to its max on the rear driver side.

You can see the bracket i had before here, i could have just angled it down a little more, but decided to give more slack making that bracket 1" longer, pic to follow.

And added a 1" longer rear driver brake line bracket, an engineering marvel from Lowes for like 50 cents lol

When are you starting to source parts for the rear axle swap and custom long arm kit?

Got the Thuren TB relocation bracket and i was going to get it installed today. Came to find out the dude that did my Venom muffler welded the clamps behind the muffler so i can't get the passenger leg out just loosening the clamps, i'll also have to cut the little welded bracket support he did in the middle of the 2 pipes, that means i could possibly have the leg dancing and hitting the frame on the passenger side once i get everything bolted down and i'll have to drive to a muffler shop to get it welded back. Lol

Honestly, little too much hassle for something i'm not inspired to have. i'll put the thing for sale, $70 shipped anywhere in USA, and you'll get it next week instead of waiting 3-4 weeks like you will if you got it from cjcoffroad :)

I’ll take it if you do decide to sell it

Couple of beauty shots after a needed wash. Been almost 2 months since the last time she was all clean :)

We had the ashes from El Dorado fire couple of weeks ago and it was raining crap for a week in a row so i didn't want to bother washing the truck only to do it again couple of days later. She had a nice cover of dust anyways before the fires started from the offroad trail so the BS from ashes was easy to clean.

Got the control relocation bracket. It doesn't come with instructions so i'm testing how to fit the darn thing :)
It goes into the driver front corner here though there is an internal bracket inside the engine bay in this corner that i may have to remove

50396397596_46c12890f2_k.jpg20200928_143841 by RAM RSM, on Flickr

It's the thing with the 3 little holes below.
50396561127_d62c29a40b_k.jpg20200928_143704 by RAM RSM, on Flickr

Also you need to transfer the longer wires that come in the kit to the control box (i think) lol

Got the control box wired up and installed. Again i wish the thing could come with instructions and i'll give it a full 5 stars. I emailed the company looking for a little explanation about what to do or more pictures maybe instructions etc and i'm still waiting for a response. lol
So here was my take:

To get the Vice Design Relocation kit installed:
Mount the control box to the Vice Design bracket, for this simply remove the bracket mounts from the control box (Sorry i forgot to take a picture but it's super easy to figure out how to mount it). you will use the same little bolts from the control box to secure the bracket to the box (2 bolts)

This is the orientation of the control box mounted to the Vice bracket, then the bracket will be secured to the engine bay using another another factory bolt

50396397596_3246f9e444_o.jpg20200928_143841 by RAM RSM, on Flickr

You will need to replace some of control box wires with the one loom provided by Vice.
For that you need to remove the C,B,A and D wires from the control box, see pic below , and replace them with the long wire loom included in the kit. just take 4 bolts from the bottom of the control box and pop the cover out, then replace the wires one at a time to make it easier. I also removed the labels as well from the Smitty wires and ported them over the new wire loom to make the install easier to follow using the same Smithy instructions.

50399209573_bac60cc549_o.jpg20200929_165703 by RAM RSM, on Flickr

This is the end that will connect to the winch once you moved the labels.

50399292353_8f49ba6569_o.jpg2020-09-29_08-42-21 by RAM RSM, on Flickr

This bracket had to go. I tried to mock up the control box with this thing in place but it wouldn't not fit with it. 3 bolts and it's out.

This is how the bracket looks fully bolted down

New fog lights

Untitled by RAM RSM, on Flickr

i'm still waiting for the H10 to DT harness before i get them installed, but ill go out right now to at least configure the fogs with Alphaobd to tell the BCM i have fog leds in place.

Enable Fog light leds
Select vehicle, body computer, 2013-2017 body computer
Then active diagnostics
select procedure Car configuarion change (should be all the way down to the list)
CBC Features-LED Front Fog Lamps present - Set to Yes, default should be no
Finish

And

Enable Fog light switch high beam
Select vehicle, body computer, 2013-2017 body computer
Then active diagnostics
select procedure Car configuarion change (should be all the way down to the list)
CBC Features-Front Fog Lamp Dropout Enable - Set to no so they fog lamps can be enabled with the hi beams - Default Yes
Finish

Do you have a link to these harnesses ? I am going to be adding 2 led pods on each side to replace my fogs and this harness should work correct for a direct plug and play ?
