08 hemi mega cab, cam job

so im wanting to do a cam job on my 08 mega cab 4x4, im wanting to do a cam, springs, rods and lifters, and im gonna put shorty headers and true duals when i do this any ideas on the best set up, and how hard will it really be, ive done a couple cam jobs on a couple Chevys, but never a hemi, will it be any harder or about the same? any help would be much appreciated thanks

Shouldn't be any harder than the cam on a Chevy. Tuning is really the only thing you'll have to figure out. You'll want a torquier cam with the heavy truck. Cams like the comp260 and Sidewinder won't need a custom tune go bigger like a 210 or 210x and you'll need a tune to run it.

ok thanks, ill look into them yea im wanting some big torque numbers, but also a nice lop on the exhaust

Look into a 210x if you go custom tune
260 or Sidewinder if you just want to get a superchips for a tune

Yep try finding a used 210x, or just get a cam cut for the specs you want. The only hang up you will have is the valve springs because the 6.1 springs have buckets.
