PBS tv had Gale Banks on one episode. He said they were working on items for the new Italian engine. This is going to interesting.

You didn't think that they'd leave a motor like that untouched did you?

They built, or are building, a version of it for a military project. He sounded very excited about what the engine could do a couple years ago. It sounded like a mild tune for them, one of their projects was under 300 hp and close to 500 ft/lbs but that was back in 2012. After almost two years of work who knows what those guys could come up with, I'm hoping a muffler kit to make it sound a little better at least. Kinda weak in the few videos I've seen, don't need massive noise but a decent noise would be nice.

don't expect an exhaust for these with the dpf and scr systems on them now. there won't be delete kits for them, well not at least for a long time. i doubt there is even a muffler on it. my 13 cummins does not have a muffler as the cat and dpf muffle the sound enough that a muffler isn't needed and let me say that i can stand next to the tail pipe with the truck revved up and not hear a sound coming from the tail pipe.

There are a couple kits for the Ecodiesel in the Grand Cherokee, the magnaflow doesn't sound better though.
