Howdy y'all. Tried searching and really didn't find my situation.
08 1500 4x4 mega cab, has a vibration that starts at 100kmhr until 110kmhr. Doesn't go away with rpm change, out of OD for example. Is there accelerating or decelerating. Took the front shaft out and it goes away. Sweet!!!! Sent it to a good shop and they said it was fine, packed it with grease and charged $50 instead of a $400 rebuild. They said if I put it back and there is still vibration, it's not the shaft.
So obviously its still there or I wouldn't be bothering y'all.
Rear u-joints have been changed, tires balanced twice. The Dodge dealer thinks it's the rear bearings but can't 100% guarantee it, and I'm not gambling a $1000-2000 bill on a hunch.
The truck has a 1" lean to the passenger side leading me to think the camber is out of whack. Could that cause a vibration? Anything else the brain trust here can think of? T-case ready to explode? Mounts?
Any leads would be great. It's not a daily driver, so I can pick away at it.
Thanks

Ohhhh THAT front shaft! Duh, my bad. I was sitting here thinking how the heck......

This comes from the service maual:
Propeller shaft vibration increases with vehicle
speed. A vibration that occurs at a specific speed
range, is not usually caused by an out of balance propeller
shaft. Defective universal joints or an incorrect
propeller shaft angle are usually the cause of such a
vibration.

That's what is perplexing. Truck isn't lifted, so the angle should be fine. The driveline shop said everything on the shaft was good or they would have gladly charged me for a rebuild. So either they were wrong or its something else. But yet related to having the front shaft connected.
