190° 48799

There's a few guys running even lower then the 180,i have a 170 in my truck, and the Miledon high flow 160 is fairly common with the guys running their trucks hard. I run a 180 in my wifes stock untuned 2016 Challenger and like it,around town at really low speeds, the car runs basically the same temps as it does with the OEM 203,but as soon as the cars moving,it drops down to 185 and stays there.I run my 170 with no issues even up here in Canada, truck runs perfectly fine even at colder air temps. You can get away with running a 180 even if you're untuned, just leave the stock mechanical fan and shroud in place, and you'll reap the benefits of the 180 t-stat.The stock clutch fan even when it's disengaged still moves enough air to keep the truck in the vinicity of 185 with-out having to have a tuner change the e-fans parameters. For the guys yelling about there trucks not running any cooler while towing, that's to be expected, but nobody tows constantly, the rest of the time, the truck runs around unloaded, and won't be maxing out the cooling system.

No worries. Custom Electric fan setup to delete the clutch fan anyways. Loving it. Ac is ice now even with high 90s outside

Been kind of following your stand alone fan controller set-up CK,mine never gives me any issues, but if it does,i like your idea on the pulse width modulation of the fan to control temps.

I wanted to be different. Plus it’s got soft start built in which helps reduce strain on the electrical system. And the only time my fan runs full speed is with the ac on. Otherwise it hardly hits 50%

My truck sees 85-90% towing. On my last 1500 I didn't see much benefit from a tstat alone. I added an additional oil cooler which helped towing temps considerably.

I’ve got a remote filter mount and it’s mounted in airflow. Saw 6° lower oil temps from that alone

You're the exception to the rule, lol. The majority of guys only tow occasionally. In your case a thermostatically controlled stand alone oil cooler would almost be a requirement. I put a remote filter on my truck a few years ago,and i'll echo CK's statement,it pulled a good 5 degrees out of the oil temps

I dont tow at all and my oil temps with 180 stat i put in last night are still in the 220 range, fan dont come on till just over 200 even though in my trinity its set at 195........Unless putting the stat bleeder valve at the 12 oclock position vs the 3 oclock as factory was changes over all temps...She does get a lil warm at slower around town speeds..Saw a vid posted here somewhere that the front of engine has a bleeder hole that you fill with coolant till it over flows..

Never had an issue with that. Try turning the ac on and see if the temps still act up? Still have the clutch fan?
