Probably not. But I have had a Jet t-stat in mine for some time now with zero issues.

To a certain degree brand will mean something but more than anything, country of origin will mean more. The cheaper import parts are less reliable than domestic make OEM brand thermostats.

Jet and CST are both made by Motorad. They are the exact same part, but Jet charges more because they repackage them and put their name on it.

To my knowledge Stant & Jet thermostats are made in the same plant in White Hall Arkansas , Jefferson County.
Basically anything Made in Arkansas is a superior product .
Mainly due to the locals working in the plant being of a higher intelligence, Damn good looking and stronger than 10 equal sized individuals from any other state .
Oh and people from Arkansas are also very modest !
