2-1 thump

i own a 2016 ram 1500 with the 8speed and shifting from 2nd down to first I get a jerk when coming to a stop! I took it to the dealer and they downloaded the software to correct it but it still does it! If I get a tuner would it fix the problem! They say this is a common thing with the 8 speed transmission!!

I just bought a 2016 with 5729 miles and it does this also! Seems to happen more when coming to a stop quickly. I dont think theres a fix for it

Mine will only do it when its fresh start cold still (8 Speed). My fathers powerwagon on the other hand, that 6 speed does it every time you stop.

I've occasionally noticed this, but it doesn't happen very often. I've had the same issue with another manufacturer, and it was corrected via software.

I get the same ... starting to think it is a "feature" with how common it is in these transmissions.

I have a 2016 1500 Laramie Limited 5.7 Hemi w/ 3.92 and it thumps after I stop. I was told that it was the driveshaft spline needing to be greased. Any thoughts?

Do you happen to have an aftermarket exhaust on it?

My truck started doing that as soon as I installed the Carven Competitor series direct fit exhaust .... never did it before ...
