Hello everyone.
I have a 2011 Ram 1500 5.7 1500 Big Horn with the 5-Spd Automatic 545RFE Transmission with 99,600 miles. While doing the oil change I noticed the transmission pan was wet. It looks like it is rotted probably a pin hole. Not a big deal I was looking at the Dorman 265-870 and figured I should change the fluid and filter also. I keep seeing the filters that say for deep pan or for shallow pan. When I was looking at the transmission pans there was no mention of deep or shallow pans. So I am confused. Also this truck is 4WD.
I purchased the truck 3 yrs. ago with 89,600 miles on it. I believe the previous owner serviced the transmission because the fluid is nice and pink and no burnt smell at all.
My question is how can I tell which Filter to order?
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer
