I have a 2011 ram 5.7 I am working on only has 120k somehow they ran it out of oil and locked er up. I have a 2019 5.7 engine sitting in my garage from a wrecked classic my question is has anyone swapped a 2013+ engine into a older 4th gen? I am getting conflicting reports I know the tone ring changed for 2013+ something about the thickness but same amount of teeth. I have seen some people have had no issue where others said they swapped rings.. I know all the sensors and timing cover have to be changed only worried about the tone/reluctor ring on crankshaft.
