I ordered an air dam for my 1500 after going under my 1500 and realizing that the one i have currently had cracks in the middle. Is it easy to replace, or what?

Mine is cracked in the middle too. I've tried just about every epoxy and JB Weld available and none last more than a week.

Definitely interested in seeing how hard it is to replace as well.

If it’s like my 2014, it’s 2 small bolts (one at each end) and the rest are plastic push pins if I remember right. It’s easy to remove and install.

Where did you get it from? I've seen it's over $100 for the Mopar one and around $45 for an aftermarket one...

Thank you! I don’t think there’s any difference from 2013-2014, so that helps.

2017 is the same way. Very easy to remove. I took mine off to make cut-outs for bull bar brackets.

Just wondering, would the truck being without a air dam until tomorrow (or possibly later if FedEx decides so) hamper performance even the slightest? she feels a little more sluggish without it on.

I would imagine the air is hitting the cross member dead on where the lower control arms bolt to instead of being deflected under it by the air dam. The faster you go the more noticeable it would be....

It came in, but jesus christ, it’s a ***** to get back on. I really don’t know how to. The clips don’t wanna attach themselves.

Awesome!

So what ended up being the trick with the clips? From what I remember when I looked at it there was 10 or so plus 2 bolts at the end....

2 pairs of needle nose pliers, clamping down from both sides of the clips, 4 hours of time, and a ton of swearing.....

Also the plastic on the driver side bolt holding in the dam broke off, the metal holding thing & the screw was fine but that part of the old air dam was screwed in more ways than one.
