Just brought home a 2014 1500. Traded off my 03 2500.

I also picked up the lifetime Maxcare for $2200.

In order to get one of the $1000 rebates, I had to take Chrysler Capital financing at 4.4%. The dealer said I had to make 6 payments before I could refinance (my credit union will do 1.9%). However, there's nothing in any of the paperwork I signed stating this. He also said he's never heard of Chrysler trying to get the $1000 back from anyone.

Anyone ever paid off before the first 6 months and had an issue with the rebate?

I'm thinking of getting the Line-X spray in liner, they want $529 for it. In addition, he'll do a whole package of the Liner, wheel to wheel side steps (Raptors), Weathertech flaps, and a Truck Gear tonno cover for $1550. Does all that sound like a good deal?

I basically like the tonno cover, but the rails extend 4" into the box in order to support it. I would think that would get damaged pretty easily. Is sticking in that far pretty typical?

It has been a while, but when we bought our 2008 T&C, we got a rebate of either $1000 or $1500 for financing through Chrysler financial. I wanted to pay cash, but didn't want to pass up the rebate. I waited three months and then paid off the loan. I never heard a word from Chrysler Financial, but the F&I guy was POd at me because he said he had a commission pulled back because we paid off the loan. I found out that he didn't give me the best price on the warranty, so I didn't feel too bad as he made out OK on the warranty.

I know with Ford my dad did that, took the financing then re-financed with his credit union, never had any issues, in fact the credit union gave him 250 to refinance lol. If its not in the paperwork, then it isn't true.

You can refi whenever you want. They dealer made money from your financing w/ Chrysler capital. The dealer doesn't want you to refi before the 6 month period because if you do they have to pay back their commission. So save some money and refi!

That's why you tell them to either match your outside financing, possibly with price adjustments, or you walk.
