2014 uconnect

I just bought a 2014 ram 1500 big horn with the 8.4" screen. How do i activate it so i can utilize the speak to text, and use uconnect access? Do i have to wait for the dealership to do something ? Also can i install nav?

The UConnect service which is $150 a year allows you to use the UConnect app. It's not always the most reliable.
You don't need it to use the hands free talk/texting.
I've had two phones on three different versions of Android(6,7, & 8) all work with the hands free talk/text in my truck with no UConnect service.
The factory navigation leaves much to be desired, the maps are outdated by a few years and its not the greatest at getting you where you need to go.
