2016 WON'T START

This issue started when i tried to crank it last week. Dash lnstruments bliking, won't start and said truck was not in park, rather in reverse. I was told it might be the original batteries, so last nite i installed 2 new batteries. Gt in the truck and still wont start, says its in reverse.

How crazy am I?

Clean battery terminals and all grounds Did you try to start it in N? sounds like a connection issue somewhere Any codes? it needs to be scanned with a decent scanner.
