Ok Im wanting to get a tuner for my truck. I know I will need a unlocked pcm. Question is which tuner? Im planning a little later on getting the Sprintex Super Charger. Any suggestion would be great.

If you plan on running the canned Sprintex tune then a Diablosport combo is gonna be your answer, but they only list up to the 2015 model year so canned tunes from them might be a no go. If you want all the digital gauges and what not then you'll have to spend a little more to get the T2 package otherwise I'd just get an I3. That being said you'll need to hit up Diablosport since they don't list anything for 2017 3.6's right now so they might not be supported currently.

If you plan on only using custom tunes then HPtuners might be the way to go since they officially list support for the 3.6 through all 4th Gen years. You'd just need to find a tuner to work with that supports HPtuners and can also tune it for boost once the blower goes on. They offer both new PCM's that are unlocked as well as an unlock service for your existing PCM.

Per Sprintex :

• 2015 RAM 1500 (***2015 Chrysler vehicles require a modified PCM purchased from Diablosport. Please contact https://www.diablosport.com/contact/contact-us.html to purchase this part. Please also provide a picture of your VIN number and mileage to Diablosport upon request. )

Per HPtuners :

15-1811500 Truck 3.6, 5.7 2 N/A
191 1500 Classic Truck 3.6, 5.7 (DS body only) 2 N/A

I would go with an HP Tuner. They offer current support for your year model and engine and the HP Tuner, in my opinion, gives the best tuning capability for stock PCM's. I dont want to start a "This brand of tuner or that brand of tuner is better" debate. I am stating my unofficial opinion.

It is not being the 845RE (US/FCA made 8HP45). Those are only rated at 450NM (330 ft/lbs) on the input, but they're also in some of the Euro cars which I've seen boosted well above stock and holding fairly well so long as you don't beat the living hell out of em. That's probably why Sprintex doesn't offer any other pulleys tho being a twin screw rather than a centri it's still gonna hit that tranny with some low end grunt. I imagine as long as you don't beat on it too much that it would be fine for a while.

Josh, I have a ProCharger in my 2013 V6 Performance Pac Mustang. In that application, forced induction plus V6 is a great combination. In my case, I don't think my clutch is quite as strong as the one in the GT. But a clutch is reasonably inexpensive. The manual transmission in the V6 Mustang is the same as the GT, except the first and second gears are a bit lower in the tranny they put behind the V6. I have an aluminum drive shaft, also.

I really wish someone had made a screw type SC for the Ford 3.7 back when I did the Mustang. But they say there's no room under the hood for it. The Ford V6 responds very well to the Pro Charger. Boost on my car starts at about 2800 rpm. But it revs to 7000 rpm, so it's not hard at all to keep my car in boost if I want.

Forza did the work on my car. I'm pretty sure there are pics, and a little review that I submitted, still on their site. My car is in a mild state of tune, which is what I asked for. But it's still pretty quick. It weighs 3560 pounds and puts 393 hp to the rear wheels. If I stay below 2800 rpm, the car gets even better gas mileage. I've gotten 32 mpg. Like I said FI V6s are a great idea.

Like you said, don't beat on it mercilessly and you'll have a lot of fun for a long time. If need be, there are worse things than having to replace a tranny, if it comes to that.

If you have the MT82 the stock clutches are pretty meh from what I remember. Had a buddy with a '16 GT that had clutch issues pretty quickly and his only had the Ford Powerpack intake/tune on it so nothing crazy. Seems like upgrading the fluid and doing a clutch swap to something solid helps alot in those.
