2017 Ram 3.6 Big Horn - Poor compression. Dealer says new engine needed

2017 Ram with 115 miles - in good shape except was just told that one cylinder is around 105 psi and another they said is low at 130. They said they could spend a lot of money trying to fix but really should just get a new engine ($12k quote). Any suggestions for what you would do if you were me? Trade in value if in good condition is only around $13k. Any comments or thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jason

My son in law pumped 12 K into a motor for his 2012 , I would not have done it , but he figured it is way cheaper then a new truck.

BTW, are you getting codes, missfires? If not , trade time.
But a good used could have problems as well.

Honestly, and I know this is a Dodge forum and I own Two dodges.... The aluminum Fords are looken pretty good these days especially being in the rust belt.... No rust, 10 speed transmission 5.0 engine. That or go with a newer Dodge diesel if you can. Atleast diesels hold trade value....

fellow across the street bought a new F150, little motor, cheaper model, but not the cheapest.
He likes it , runs cheap he says.
