Will this motor work in the 1500 2wd?

I have a 2015 and I am getting lifter noise on #8. The dealer wants 375 to just diagnose issue.
I found a complete 5.7 out of a Jeep with 50k on it for 750 locally. I've heard it run. Just want to know if its compatible

its much easier to replace the cam and lifters. You can do it in a weekend.
Im sure that motor will work, you'll probably need to swap over front cover and your intake.

No misfire. Just dealership stating it need lifter. Its loud on start up goes away when i drop to lower RPM at higher speeds [65-70] hesitation on initial acceleration. I've never done lifters or a cam and not sure I want to take it myself.

Keep us posted, how many miles and mods/oil/filter intervals are all pertinent info for our data collection. FCA has to be on the edge of their seat with this.

132k
Mobil 1 semi blend
Mopar filter
Intake/ exhaust
Oil changed every 3 to 4k

I've had 16 exhaust manifold bolts replaced on this motor too.

pretty sure they're not on the edge with a 132k mile motor, burning the streets in arizona

Having to invest 4 grand into parts and labor on a 4 year old engine that’s been manufactured for 10 years and still in production would be cause for concern if you want to maintain customers and build new ones.

Especially with a turbo 6 coming out soon, they can’t even make a robust Naturally aspirated pushrod v8. The 6.4 and 6.2 have the same issues.

Honestly I regret buying the hemi. It has been a pain in the ass with manifold bolts, tick that was deemed "ok" from the start and now this. More I read the more I realize it's just a marketing ploy by FCA. Also I had to replace the radiator at 75k

but the problem has been known for a long time, and people still keeping buying the platform. ram moved up to the #2 spot in trucks. and one of the main reasons is moving in close to ford is because people dont want that ford V6, as i could care less if it makes more power still in the end a V6. maybe take a run over to the ford forum and check out their problems

That’s another topic in itself, they lost their ass with the 5th Gen in new tooling costs and had to add massive incentives and advertising for marketing. Not to mention keeping 4th Gen Classic production alive just to squeeze into second.

Their margins were horrendous from a business standpoint on the half ton, but if topping GM was the main goal for a year.

Victory I suppose.

well you said it in a nutshell,,,,they all have their problems. there is also a reason the eagle was mentioned as the #2 engine built within the last 30 years, others have it in the top 10 of all time

The Jeep hemi is like the car hemi and is significantly different then the truck version. Different intake, accessories, cam profile etc. Some key differences listed below:

I'd recommend fix what you got or find a truck version.
