Hit [pothole] hard enough with the front tires locked that the adjustment bolt that connects the front axle to the frame sheared on the left side. I think that had the wheel not locked, the bolt wouldn't have sheared. As it was, I had to replace the bolts and now need an alignment. A fix for this needs to be forthcoming quickly.

If you hit a pothole THAT hard, your wheel bearing probably created some 'flat-spots' on the rollers and might start to make noise in a few thousand miles. Just keep your eyes open just in case. Glad something worse didn't happen.

Brings up a Navy-days story: US BB Battleships quit firing full broadside salvos of 9, because the load was flattening the train roller bearings of the turrets. Except for Battle Short declaration, maximum permitted salvos were one per turret, so 3 near-simultaneous salvos. True story - from the manufacturer of the gun mount (Northern Ordnance).

@RamCares Any update on when we can get our faulty parts replaced! My dealer has no idea and cannot get parts, they told me they cannot buy or sell my truck due to this failure, and that if I’m involved in an accident and die due to this part failure, my wife will just have to work it out with Stellantis.

What kind of 3rd world monkey crap is this?
@RamCares - Nobody has parts. This is truly unconscionable. WHERE ARE THE PARTS?

Stellantis does not have a workable replacement and NO ETA...

Follow me on X @dunn12941 where I am lobbying them to BUY MY TRUCK BACK DIRECTLY. I DO NOT want to trade it in through a dealer. I want a check for fair market private sale directly from Stellantis.

Our ABS system failed about 2 years ago. Our independent mechanic tried to get us in on the original class action lawsuit, but it had already settled. We went to the dealership’s Service Dept., but they had not heard about this. When the recall notification arrived we called FCA and went back to the dealer, as they advised us. We opened a case with NTSB. Stellantis promised to provide an equivalent replacement rental as the Service Manager would not confirm the truck is safe to drive. After renting a RAM 2500 for a month the reneged and said they would pay up to $50 per day, and that we would have to get each rental preauthorized. Dealer Service Mgr says there is still no fix, and truck that they fixed by replacing whatever part have eventually had it go bad again, and they do not recommend doing that. We did not buy this vehicle to decorate our driveway and are very pissed off about the way this is (not) being addressed. Now we are looking for an attorney with balls to represent us. Anyone have a good attorney working on this?

I'm out about $750 for having 2 go bad. Never received anything from Ram other than a recall letter saying they didn't have parts so basically a big fat middle finger in the face and them saying 'too bad'. I bought the first one off a dealer (~$480) but can't find the receipt and paid my buddy to replace it. He has a legitimate shop (paid him $125). Just had to fix it a 2nd time and bought a used unit off eBay for $125 off a 2011 1500 and swapped the electric motor from it.

I have been dealing with a broken truck for 18 months now. I got the first recall letter but it indicated i would get 2nd letter when parts are available. I tried to trade this truck in but no one wants it with ABS light on and cruise control is disabled due to the error. This is so frustrating with no end in sight. I have been a loyal Ram owner for a very long time but Ram does not seem to care so Ford is starting to look like a better choice.

Have you thought about buying the part yourself and then taking it to the dealer? It is hard to tell online who actually has the part in stock, but here is one link. You can also take your ram to an independent Diesel shop and pay to have it fixed. Ram will then reimburse you as part of the recall. That is the route I took.
