You’re still trying to justify spending 70k for something that isn’t worth 70k. I have leather, I have uconnect, a 5.7 hemi just like you do. 4 xtra inches? Seriously? I’m very happy in my “old” truck. There’s no justification you can give for spending 70k. None. Zero.

I didn’t spend $70K, I literally stated what I paid earlier in this thread. You have zero understanding of the market and the worth of something. So, rather than agree to disagree, you continue trying to justify your position of attacking us, and making false comparisons. Your Uconnect is not the same as mine. Your interior is not the same as mine. The similarities between our trucks end at truck with a HEMI.

It’s not my fault you feel attacked. I’m just saying it’s not worth the price you paid even with your depreciated rebates. I said the trucks were similar, not exact. I have Hemi, uconnect and leather just like you only for a lot less. You’re trying to justify your cost but you can’t. Nice truck, though.

Some people work really hard and want to enjoy the latest and greatest. Knowing they could save more if the wait a few years but are ok with it since they want to enjoy the **** out their new truck or whatever it may be.

Others just look for sloppy seconds to save a few bucks and can’t understand why those that can afford the newest thing would spend money on it.

Me I’m going to enjoy the **** out of my 19 Limited when it comes in regardless if someone thinks I over spend and can’t justify it. I’m spending my money for me and not to please an internet troll.

Wow this was a interesting tread to read. LMAO. Can’t help but chime in. Only addiction I have in life is automobiles. I buy a new one every year or two. Sometime I have 2 to 3 cars at a time. I’ve owned a ton of different years makes and models, from classics all the way to 2019. It’s what I enjoy doing. I can afford it and will continue to do so. Sometimes I get great deals, sometimes not. But wow, the back and forth here about who’s getting a better deal, buying used vs new is crazy.

it's been a little silly . . . still much more civil than the BMW forums I used to be on LOL!!! Then I bought a '14 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk . . . most boring people I've ever seen on a forum.

Lol I have no issue with his position or anyone’s desire to wait and buy older vehicles. It’s a smart financial decision. But to say I purchased a new truck because I unnecessarily wanted to throw away money is ridiculous. There were 10 pages of reasons for my purchase, “hey it’s expensive” wasn’t one of them.

I’d have to say the best forum page I have encountered over the years was Camaro 5... I had a 2010 SS Camaro and a 2013 ZL1. Really enjoyed that forum page. Nothing against this page though, just the Camaro forum was very active.

That's the price here in Australia...
Import duty, luxury car tax and the cost of converting to RHD bumps the price up....

The other USA pickups are similarly priced.

The Chrysler 300, including SRT8 is available here in factory RHD...

The SRT8 is around 79,000 AUD and the core around $55,000 AUD.

The Mustang is also here in factory RHD for $65,000 for the V8 convertible.

There is talk of the ram 1500 coming in factory RHD...

^^ That’s crazy, have these trucks been customized and they just have a stock photo?

To each his own but I would never trade up vehicles and spend thousands more(probably) because it came with a different radio/infotainment system or some other new electronic item. If I just HAD TO HAVE/COULDN'T LIVE WITH OUT such items I would just buy them separately and add them to the vehicle myself. Of course I'm 50 y/o and the electronics stuff just isn't to die for. as far as I'm concerned. Bump up the horsepower on the Hemi significantly or come out with a better engine choice and I'm all in. I grew up in a time where the only music I needed was the lope of that big cam choppin' under the hood!

The inclusion of ACC or the surround cameras is an example of a feature that is hidden but changes someone’s entire experience. I personally didn’t have a truck previously so waiting for the 19 was a no brainer for me.

Hell yeah I understand your logic completely. I would have done the same thing in that situation. When I bought my current Ram I had no vehicle at all as I had the itch for a Charger(or so I thought) and long story short there is no replacement for a pickup truck when you haven't owned anything else since GOD knows when so I ended up back in a truck again three days later. I just can't believe the prices of these new Rams is all. Do they think they're Ford or something?
