Every time I take my 2019 through a car wash and not have to worry about getting out and removing the radio antenna I will think about how great this is. Then I will ponder how you will have to wait at least 5+ more years until you can experience the same joy because you can then justify buying that same truck.

Sometimes it’s the little things in life that bring the most happiness. One of MANY reasons I can’t wait for my 2019.
I hand wash mine. You shouldn’t run your truck through car washes.

Its only in your thought process which is not the thought process for others. If your happy with it and they are happy with it all good.
By others you mean everyone but me? Is that an insult?

No, I don’t. You are not the authority on all things and why people do them. There is nothing to agree. You’re wrong. All people don’t buy trucks for the simple idea of throwing away money. That is not their motivation. I don’t see how you can even imply it is.

People waste money on a lot of stupid things especially those things that depreciate like vehicles. I don’t like to spend more money than necessary on vehicles. I know people don’t agree with that. I’m not going to conform to popular opinion and kiss butt because I feel the majority of people on this thread spent unnecessarily on 19’s. You don’t like other people’s opinions that don’t agree with yours? Then you’re the problem.

The problem is you can’t comprehend what my problem is. It isn’t your opinion. It’s that you said all people buy new for the reason of throwing away money unnecessarily. When I told you you were not the authority on why people do things, you said you were and that you aren’t wrong. That’s my issue. I honestly don’t care if you want to buy a Pinto.

I believe I’m not wrong. You believe you aren’t wrong. It’s a difference of opinions, that’s all. All I’ve said is that I’m not in to buying new because I believe it’s money wasted on something that depreciates so quickly. If it’s worth it to you, then go ahead and buy new. I’m not trying to stop anyone, I’m just giving my opinion. That’s all.

You can’t be right or wrong as it concerns the intentions and motivations of others. You aren’t understanding us enough for this to continue. Wish you the best with your truck. I’ll continue to keep an eye on your progress as I enjoy what you’re doing.

Ravjay12,

Have you taken into consideration that a lot of people buy their trucks through a business ?

Depreciation can then be a good thing.....

I went by my local dealer yesterday and they had a 2019 Big Horn, a Lariat and a Limited sitting right on the edge of the lot so I just had to stop. Stickers were 48k, 55k and 63k respectively. Their website shows 3, 5 & 6k off for their internet price, once again, respectively.

Some here have said that pictures do not do it justice but I don’t see anything in person that shows me anything different. It looks like a Chevy front end molded to a Toyota back end. I feel they’ve lost that signature Ram Mack Truck look. The interior does look really nice though but as a whole, it’s not enough to make me pull the trigger and trade in my 14 with 44k miles on it.

Don’t get me wrong, I’d still love to have a new toy and wouldn’t turn one down at the right price but those prices are tough to swallow for something I want, not need.

Best way to stop feeding the trolls is to ignore them, literally.

Wonder if the FCA rebates will increase as the 18's clear out towards end of year? I suppose the 19's could cause the 18's to not move so fast creating a nice run on 18's in 19 too.

As when the Chargers went to this refreshed, controversial look, I expect FCA to bend over backwards to make sure as many of these trucks hit the road as soon as possible. They want this look out before Chevy releases their refresh. In 3 weeks, the rebates went from 0 off sticker to a few thousand down here. I expect that to increase as the offerings expand and stock improves. We have several trucks here, but I know smaller areas have one or none.

I would expect the new Silverado's debut not to make no where as big a splash as the Ram's did. GM pissed off a **** ton of people with the vibrating garbage trucks that they've been making since 2014. I did notice that the 795 PAGE long vibration THREAD has slowed a bit lately on GM trucks.com. They've lost many customers since that thread started almost 5 years ago. Hell my previous Ram lost the cam and lifters at 32K miles and I still wouldn't go back to GM. Rams might still have some issues but at least they're fixable most of the time unlike the mystery BS that GM has.

Work trucks yes but they’re stripped down models and not usually Lariats. I’ve known business owners that buy several years old to save.

Thats a shame for GM. I have owned Rams since 2002 all bought new but never had any thing against Chevy. My son bought a new 2017 Red Line Silverado last June and he loves it! He has got about 26000 on it so far no issues at all. He drives my Ram some times and likes the Ram,but he makes fun of my chrome front and clad wheels...lol.
