What a read! Moral of the story, you're an idiot if you buy something you like and can afford! How does everyone not get that??
Yeah this thread went a little crazy. I’ve always looked at purchases like this....we all have one life to live, if you can afford it, buy it, because when your time comes, your not taking a dime with you. No one will care if you saved 5k or 10k buying used.

We were all raised different, make different choices, work a different way, so the outcomes will always be different. It baffles me that anyone on the internet hasnt learned that we dont all think the same way and that someone disagreeing with you isnt a big deal! Im 25, bought my Laramie new last year (myself, in case anyone might say I have family help-to which I never had the opportunity for something this big to be paid for, would be nice though haha), and while some people in my age group or beyond may see it as unnecessary, I wouldnt buy it if I couldnt feed my child. It isnt a top of the line, but some might call a $50,000 truck at my age foolish, but people dont know anything about me. And same for you guys. Buy your $60,000 trucks, hell, buy a $100,000 truck, buy a super car. All that does is show me where people can get to and its more inspiring to work harder in my career than maddening. Anyhow, back on topic.

MOD's need to come in and clean this thread up. Its supposed to be about deals, discount, rebates and pricing on the 2019's.......and there are 11 pages of almost none of that........

I just don’t want to lose my informative and, most importantly, post inflating posts [emoji23]

yeah...soooo, let's just try to regroup. Today I just put my order in for a Limited 4x4 Patriot Blue with painted bumper and Ramboxes. My dealer in the central Kentucky area with much ease, agreed on $53,974 BEFORE rebates and taxes/fees
(which im assuming we'll have to wait 8-12 weeks to figure out). I've been really fortunate with this salesperson and we're going on a third transaction for vehicles, but we're certainly not family friends or anything so im assuming this is very doable. Now, come July/August, im almost positive I could get a $1,000 off or more, but....im really at peace with zero headache negotiating.

Talking with a dealer on a 2019 big horn, 4x4, 5.7.
Sticker - 48,905
Trade equity - $5k - They did come up $1500 from 1st trade value.
discounts - $3k, which included $1500 month end discount that will expire in a few days.
OTD - $40400

This is just the initial quote through emails back and forth. They are going to add a spray in bed liner, rough country 2" level and switch my 35" tires to the new truck so that will cost them a set of new tires and stock shocks to go back on the old truck.

I'll push for more off price of the truck but what do you guys think?

Damn that’s about $11K over what I paid and the only difference is the eTorque and painted wheels. I don’t know if my wheels are considered painted with the black.
