All,
I have a 2022 Big Horn, 5.7L with 53,200 miles. A week ago lifter on cylinders 5&7 where replaced by the powertrain warranty. One week after i started to hear that clicking noise again. I'm taking it back to the dealer again tomorrow.
Any one had the same or similar issues you can provide advise if the problem persist?
My concern is, I'm close to the 60k powertrain warranty to expired and what does the dealer will cover after.
Thanks
Lee.

If i was to guess,i'd lay odds they're band-aiding it together till you're off warrenty, then they'll tell you,you need a new cam along with new lifters, and it's on your dime.
See if you can get them to also replace the cam, might be a tough sell, but definitely worth asking them to replace the cam if they have to replace the lifters again. If they won't replace the cam,you might want to look into an extended warrenty package.

Try a lubrication strategy, read these threads and see poll results. Both products utilize extreme pressure additives that have a real good chance at ending tick, cheap investment to try. I'd find redline 5w30 and a royal purple 20-820 filter.

redline 5w30 80% success

lubegard biotech 15 ounce 50%

If you can take a video or audio from underneath the truck for 3 minutes when tick is prevalent, many of us have an ear for this. Does it tick at warm idle.

I have about 13K miles on my '23. I'm debating on selling it to Carmax before any issues arise, or when something does happen outside of warranty, swap lifters, cams, and oil pump with OEM hellcat ones, and get a 93+ custom tune on it. I'm just tired of jumping in and out of different trucks. But I've said that before when I was a chevy guy lol

The Chevy 5.3 and 6.2's are a disaster for GM. Some of them are grenading on the top end under 1,000 miles. If I even thought of buying a Chevy, I would demand and proof that the AFM/DFM system was Disabled before I would purchase. They also got that fuel module unit problem. But alas, seems like the Big 3 all got problems these day, no QC anymore, IMHO.

ADDED: Be interesting to know who was the GENIUS that decided to use Plastic for Thermostat housings on the 2025 RAM 1500's, geez. Hopefully Dorman will come out with a replacement metal part like they did for the 3.6L oil filter housings.

Isn't GM also being sued for all the Transmission issues on the 6L80 8L90? I know that the old LS 99-08 5.3s/5.7s/6.0s are beasts. I run boost through high mileage all day and they keep on going (no AFM on those older trucks).

I think so ref tranny's, but not googled, have a RAM, gotta luv dat HP 75 unless U got the chore to change out the fluid, LOL.

FORD/GM developed that POS 10 speed, why I stayed away, and just keep the RAM parked out front.

One reason I bought new was the lifetime power train warranty from the dealer. I also got the extended bumper to bumper for 8 years from Ziegler. Reading about some of the issues others are having, I’m glad I have both of those coverages.
Hope you get it figured out.

Since the noise came back, it's likely the cam needed to be replaced when they replaced those lifters but they didn't do that hoping you wouldn't notice it until the warranty ran out.
