Well after 13 months and 27,000 miles I finally broke the 20 mpg mark. I filled up tonight before heading to where I'm working. With gas at $3.97 I figured I'd slow it down a bit and see what happened. I had 7 miles of hilly highway, about 45 miles of hilly interstate, and then 55 miles of flat interstate. The speed limit is 70, but I kept it to 67 to 68 with the cruise on. The EVIC showed 20.9, but that usually reads about 1 mpg high. I filled up again when I got where I was going. It came out to 23.16 mpg. I'm sure that is not quite right though. When I filled up before I left it was the mpg was a little low, so it probably got a little more full than usual. But anyway I am happy as hell. Before this the best I was able to get was just over 18. And yes I have a pic to prove it.

Elk Horn. It's about half way between Des Moines and Omaha, NE. I'm working up in Sioux City right now. Racking up about 400 miles a week.

Nice, I have a bunch of family in Des Moines love it there. 400 a week is crazy, I do about 400 miles in 3 months.

Great to hear. New here, just had my truck a few days. I can't believe a truck with 390 hp can get that kind of milage. Made a garage queen out of the Ram. putting the commute miles on my F150 with almost 200,000 on clock

My Hemi Wagon has more horses than that and gets better at 70mph but again it only weighs 4200 lbs. My 03 can do 23.9 no probs, but that is 23.9 quarts per 60 miles with a heavy foot! When I am worried about mileage i hop in my Jeep Compass and let that CVT roar. Op its cool when you can convince yourself youv,ed saved dough and at same time drive safer!

Hot dang, I hope I can get that good of mpg some day. Best average I've gotten so far is 16.5 or something. Only have 8,500 miles on her though.

I've gotten close, like 19.8 MPG close...
But I've yet to break 20 MPG.

I'm hoping that with new plugs and a fresh air filter I can break it on my trip to Texas.
I'm tempted to do an upper grill block, and a partial belly pan too.

I've tried that other car thing before and it just wasn't worth it. By the time I paid for the car and the insurance there just wasn't really any savings unless I drove nothing but the car and that wasn't possible.
That's pretty good Ram bo for only 4700 miles. I love the instrument panel on the 13's. Are you going to be restoring that old Pontiwreck that's on Photobucket?

no, that 69 Custom S is gone, but I am working on the 78 Formy, gonna 455 the sucker

Judiciuos restraint on the skinny pedal works wonders, even at ~75 was hitting 25 instant mpg on flat land
