2500 Towing

Can anyone recommend a good 2.5 x 2.5 adjustable hitch ball with 6000lb capacity or more? 8'' drop or more would be great. Just not finding much with good reviews. Thanks for the help!

I've been towing work trailers, camp trailers and ATV trailers for ten years. The weigh safe hitch above is definitely the best hitch I've had and the scale is fairly accurate. One thing to note, if you load the trailer to light on the tongue the hitch rattles quite a bit. Load it right and it's a dream. I've towed around 9500lbs with mine with no issues. Highly recommended.

That is really expensive, I bought the same thing just a different brand from Amazon for $80 or so. Same tow ratings and all.

Apparently I lied, it 2as more expensive than I remembered, (although it was cheaper when I bought it) and the drop/rise is a little less.

I think I saw that one when I was looking. I need the 8" drop though. A 10" drop would be better when I hook to a small trailer. This thing sits TALL.

I remember shopping for a drop hitch. You don't really realize how tall the hitches are until your trailer is at an angle.

I have a B&W Model 10. I love the hitch, but it's only 2" not 2.5". I use it for everything so I can swap it. I just use the reducer that came in the truck. I do take it out when I'm not towing. It clangs around back there to much for my liking. Hoenstly I wish I bought a Model 12 instead. If I put bigger tires on it I would probably need it.

I also purchased the Weigh Safe, 8" drop class V.

It works as advertised. Would be nice to have it fit a little tighter in the hitch considering its all machined.

Add me to the weight safe users' list. Class V 10 inch drop. Expensive yes, but you only have to buy it once.

Just an FYI, Weight-Safe told me they are coming out with dust caps for the pin lock and scale face. Should be available by spring.
