Hello, I have a 2016 Ram 1500 with a 3.6 engine, I'm happy with it but I would like to add for horse power. Are there any thing I can do or upgrade to add more horse power? to run like a 5.7 or close? any tips would help.

Thank you.

You can spend a lot to do very little. No matter how hard you try unless your supercharge/turbo you will not add more than 20 useable HP. To get more off the line grunt, gears will be your best and in my opinion only butt dyno gain. Although its not actual gain but a huge gearing advantage

You would need a supercharger, turbo, or nitrous to even come close to the 5.7L's numbers. I know Edelbrock has a Pentastar E-Force blower for the cars and Jeep crowd, Tidalwave and RIPP also have blowers for the 3.6L application.

I also just found this one but I don't know much about them

I put a Pro Charger on my V6 Mustang, and l am real happy with it. For me to trade up to s comperably equipped 5.0 was over $21,000. A Pro Charger could be put on your truck for about $7-8K. Maybe less.

A cheap alternative would be a Petal Commander. The PC doesn't add any HP, but it makes the truck much more responsive, in turn, much more fun to drive.

The Pentistar is no slouch, especially with an 8/3.92.

If you get more power, you'll soon want more......

It's cheaper to sell the truck and get a 5.7 then it is to modify a 3.6.

Does the pedal commander work on the 3.6? At least it would feel like a stronger motor but that wont add any HP.

The most cost effective power increase would be 3.92 gears but the Hemi makes the most sense to me.
