So I have installed a rebuilt 1986 360 engine in my 1988 Ramcharger. New edelbrock intake, carb, all new fuel lines, fuel pump and sending unit. Truck starts up and runs great for about 3-5 minutes and shuts down. I am thinking an electrical problem. I have made it egr delete and removed all emissions pump, sensors etc. Can some omne give me an idea of what I am missing?

Sounds like you might be out running your fuel

Do the bowls have sight glasses ?

The ballast can be bypassed to run a solid 12volt for diagnostic purposes

After the truck dies, what happens, hit the key and it fires right back up or does it it need to catch its breath ?

Yeah, does it restart after it dies? If not test spark once it dies, if you got spark dump gas in the intake, see if it runs a couple seconds then. Should get you started.

Old coils can separate internally after heating up. Work fine up until that point.

If you have a spare, swap it in and see if it helps.

Do you still have spark after it dies?

Yes, it starts again but then revs go low and then just dies.
