I’m not sure if there was already a thread for this but I am going to be lifting my truck. Going with a 6inch superlift or RC. Currently running 22x12 w/ -44 offset wheels. Trying to decide if I should go with 35x12.50 or 37x13.50 tires. Will I rub at all if I go 37’s? I do plan on tuning for the larger tires. Any help or known problems with that setup is appreciated

I’m currently running 305/70/18 which is very close to 35’s. I am going to go with 35x12.5R18 because if I do 37’s I can’t fit in my garage anymore. I also have 4.56 gears and with 35’s if feels awesome.

I can some more shots when I get home. I am going to stick with true 35x12.50R18 for one more round of tires :)

Bigram truck looks sick from the front. If you have any side shots that would be great. I have 3.92 gears and do not plan on upgrading so I’m thinking my best bet would be to stick with 35’s. The look of 37’s is just sick

I have a BDS 6” and running 35x12.5 on 20x12 -44 and I rub at full lock on the air damn. I trimmed it and have no issue. Lemme know if you want a pic. Good luck buddy!

6”lift? Any trimming on the bumper?

I want 37’s but don’t want to add body lift. That’s mean more suspension parts. Not wanting to do that unless I have too.

Do a 6" lift with bilsteins and you can get an extra 2 inches and you can run 37s from my understanding...

Mine is a 7" on 37s but only 2wd no rubbing but I did have to trim

I have a '16 Sport with a BDS 6" Coil-Over kit and I'm running 35x12.50-20 Nitto Ridge Grapplers on 20x10 -25 TIS Off-Road 544's and almost rub on the airdam when backing up - and turning. 37s for me would have definitely rubbed and I didn't want to trim the front. I had originally ordered 37s but was advised by BDS to drop tire size if I didn't to do quite a bit of trimming. But, I'm going to change the bumper before my next set and will move up to 37 or 38's. Changing tire circumference with AlphaOBD helped with shift points (compared the before and after settings.)

I could easily remove the plastic piece under the sport bumper but there are brackets that hang down lower than the bumper that I have to figure our how to remove but I think that would take away from the look? Just my opinion though...

After you put 35’s on it you’re no longer be anywhere near a 3.92 year ratio you drop about .12-.15 per inch of side height. So fire from factory 32.5 if you run that up to a 35 anywhere to about a 3.62 give or take. 37’s will slam you to 3.32. It does vary due to tire size differences between manufacturers etc. Even a truck equipped with factory 33’s that are low on tread affects gear ratio’s to a small degree. I think the 35’s will look small on a 6” lift.
Our wheel wells will actually stuff a 39” tall tire inside them, the only trucks on the market that do so.
Mind you that doesn’t mean you can run them without issue but if you take the stock front springs out and let it sit on the bumpstops a 39” goes in real nice like.

35s look just fine on a 7" lift as you can see below on my buddies Ram on the right .... on a 6" lift they definitely look right .... 20200623_200400.jpg20200926_214747.jpg20200623_200414.jpg

I had a 6inch BDS lift with 37s and didn't rub at all. Unless it gets out of alignment than it might. I upgraded later with a 3 inch body lift and put 38s on. But mine's 2014 with the 8 speed transmission. I put the lift on with about 33k miles on it. I am about to hit 100k miles and no issues what so ever.

Here's a pic when I put the 6 inch lift on with 37's. Those are 37x12.50x20 Nitto G2's.

The second pic is when I added the 3 inch body lift and put 38x13.50x20 Nitto Ridge Grapplers on.

I recently did an "upgrade" to what I had before ( 2016 1500 LoneStar Crew Cab 2WD) Got stuck in the mud at 1:00 am with the whole family and decided that I would never would go through the same again, and decided to look for a 4WD, luckily enough I found the exact same car but in the Sport trim, with pretty much everything I wanted to do to the previous truck. As far as I know, mine has a 6" RC lift, on 35x12.5xR20LT Nitto Terra Grapplers G2 on what I think might be FUEL wheels (don't know the model yet) attaching pictures. I do not have any rubs anywhere, I can do my turns OK.IMG_1690.jpeg IMG_1691.jpeg IMG_1692.jpeg

Nice man ... those are Fuel Assaults, I was actually going to go with those wheels but decided on the RBP 87R Blades instead with Nitto Ridge Grapplers ...

Maybe because I'm used to looking at my Power Wagon with 37’s stock height and no rubbing “anywhere” after pinch weld and plastic trimming, but just my personal preference. When I had 35’s on it it was okay but it needed more tire for a little better ground clearance and tire contact. All your trucks look great and it’s so far as practical use I use mine for just about anything Camping/Overlanding mainly, Off Road, towing and hauling come in right behind. I bought and am constantly upgrading to fit my needs I think I’ll stick with this one as it is a ‘12 with 4:56’s stock and the rear leaf pack not coils which I prefer.

Yes. You will have to cut the sport bumper till the tires clear. Dremel and assorted cutting tools work nicely. A lot easier than a body lift to boot.
