The RSG website is supposed to be updated with the information on the kit by the end of the month.

Fantastic! I can't wait, I talked to him last summer and he was up in the air saying it would be just as easy to install a 44-45 so I want sure what was going to happen.I emailed back George at RSG last Monday about if the kit had been posted and this is what he said:
"NOT YET, WORKING ON THAT WITH A INSTALL GUIDE. I AM PULLING THE TEST UNIT THIS WED"
He then went on to describe the install process:
"I own a transfercase rebuilding company. This is so easy it's crazy. After you remove the rear cover that comes rite off its 2 snap rings. Remove clutch assembly then install my positive lock kit that replaces the clutch install one snap ring silicon rear cover and motor it's done
Tools needed:
40mm torx
Snap ring pliers
I use a flat razor to clean old sealer off and lacquer thinners to clean the to case halfs"
Just a heads up, George from RSG emailed me today with the following information:
"I AM REDOING THE WEB SITE AS WE SPEAK. I'LL HAVE 10 KITS IN A FEW DAYS THEN ABOUT 100 IN 6 - 8 WEEKS.
THANK YOU,
GEORGE"
I'm not sure if the kit will be posted to the RSG website or Transfer Case Unlimited website as they are both operated by George. His contact info is below for anyone who wants to try and get one of those first 10 kits.

You would have to remove the transfer case because the clutch would be one of the last things out of it.Do you have to remove the transfer case

Well almost lost my truck to the ocean yesterday. Had read about people issues with this case after I ordered but didnt think anything of it and figured I would be fine. Come to find out this thing sucks. Hit the sand and as I am going down the beach which is at a angle the whole rear end starts sliding out down the towards the ocean. You could tell that the rear wheels were digging more than the front wheels when I got out to lower the tire pressure. The rears were buried while the front was still somewhat on top.
After dropping pressure alot I was able to get momentum but then as I tried to turn up the hill to get off the beach the whole truck basically bogged down and felt like I was losing power to the truck. Has anyone noticed this? When in sand sometimes you just got to floor it and creep along slowly to get out of a situation. It was not letting me give power to the truck and pretty much stopped me dead in its tracks.
Has anyone written a little to FCA to see what there response was on this situation. Pretty disappointing that I need to be hesitant to go through any kind of soft sand where i may have to actually come to a stop for a little bit because I can not launch from a stop with the front locked.
Was your traction control on and kicking in?
Basically yes. It's designed to derate your engine speed to make it not spin so much and try to give it a chance to send power to the other wheels. So if your looking to really floor it to get out of a hole you need to turn it off to take full advantage of the power and hope your front axle stays engagedMaybe thats what it was.. Im not used to this computer controlled stuff. My last truck was an 03 2500. That thing was a beast on the beach. Never aired down and never got stuck ever.
So am i missing something on what traction control does? Does it kill the engine when your slipping?
