Mods feel free to move this if it's not the right topic location...

When I'm in 4wd and I'm in any sort of off road terrain, the truck shudders and feels like it's grabbing/pulling. If the surface is flat and I'm going straight like in mud, I don't notice it. But as soon as I turn the wheel, go through a ditch, ect., the truck shudders like it's grabbing something. Make sense? Everything works fine, it's just not smooth in 4x4 at all with the wheel turned. Is that normal or am I missing something?

What you are describing sounds normal.

Are you in 4wd low when this happens? I have noticed that only when I'm in low and crawling through rocks or a surface that causes abrupt stops. In auto or lock I don't have that problem.

4x4 will bind when you turn, unless your in sand, deep mud, you know super loose surfaces it will bind a bit. Does your truck have 4 auto?

I just noticed this too I was using my truck as a roller to flatten some gravel I got for my yard and I put it in 4wd. Long story short it was pretty much flat but loose gravel I was on it made a shuddering sound as well when going forward and the wheel slightly turned. I’m assuming it’s normal I guess?

When in 4X4, the wheels need some sort of slippage or they will do that. Any kind of slight turning motion and its going to do it.
