So after one year, I checked the torque on my intake bolts. It a Dodge reman engine. Partial turn to get 20 in lbs. Took them to 50, and marked the heads of the bolts. Every heat cycle or two, would again check to 50. Most would turn again to 50, doesn't seem to settle down, so I bought a new set of bolts, somewhat the same issue. I have taken them up to 80, not going up to the 108, they won't even settle down at 80. So, is it the plastic intake or the bolts? Should I go ARP?

Differant bolts aren't going to fix anything.Take them to the factory 108 in-lbs spec, and then check them every oil change or 2. I use a 5/16's nutdriver to check a couple of the easy to get at bolts every oil change,if i can turn them with a nutdriver, then it's time to go over all of them again. As far as i know there is no fix other then staying on top of them, but if you find a fix be sure to clue the rest of us in. And no Red Loctite won't keep them tight,it'll keep the bolts from turning, but it doesn't fix the issue with the manifold losing torque on the gaskets

Okay. I can try that. The bolts are not loosening, I have marked them. They are ether stretching or it's the intake. What about an aluminum Edelbrock intake? Not that I am crazy about doing that.

At 9 ft-lbs /108 in-lbs the bolts aren't stretching, just stay on top of them, and you won't have any issues. No aftermarket aluminium intake is a dual runner intake,so you'd have to tune the truck with HP to turn off the check engine light for the dual runner module. You're over thinking this and worrying about nothing. Just make checking them with a 5/16" nutdriver part of your oil change schedule.
