This normal setting to a 2.8 on the 5100s?
Do I just have to crank down on the spring compressor to get the spring compressed enough to get the bolt on? Seems like a lot of compressing.....

You have the pieces installed correctly, just remember that small washer goes on the shaft stud under the top mount, not on top of it

And those go through sockets man, gotta love those!!!

Makes removing factory struts a simple task.

Didn't have to use the Allen key for the bills, snugged up perfect, but pic to show if you had to use it.

I am used to working on 2500s for the last 12 years. 1500 is different, but pretty simple.

Thunderstorm has been slowing me down, keep watching the lightning.

I took it for a ride down the street back to Autozone to return the spring compressor tool.

It seems a bit stiffer, I can feel some of the bumps/gaps in the road more than I 'think' I did..

It does sit up a lot higher than I was expecting it to. It sits 100% level with the rear now at 39.25" inches from ground to the center of the fender.

Tow hook where sitting at 17" and now sit almost 20.5" off the ground.

I did notice getting in and out of it is more of a challenge. More effort to get in and more of a drop/slide to get out.
I also had to adjust the mirrors, all three of them. I guess I better adjust my headlights before tonight too!

She is dirty. We are in our Monsoon season, so thunderstorms and haboobs everynight. I'll try to wash it and get better pics. Won t be leaving this weekend so she is safe in the garage.

I will say.. It is taller, much taller than I expected. Getting in and out is more of a reach/fall.

Mirrors had to be adjusted. I'll have to do something with my headlights now.
