8.4 SWAP HVAC ISSUES

i just swapped in a nee 2018 ram radio that has nav and dual climate i have a manyal climate control and everytime i click the ac button i hear the ac kick on but it just blows heater air all the buttons work but it just wokt turn on the cold air, also whem i turn the fan into the 7th it just turns completely off i need help

hvac module and harness are from infotainment

Did your truck have dual climate with the old controls? if not im not sure this will ever work but others will post.

How long has it been since you installed? Sometimes things need to settle in as the radio reads the BCM. Clock start over every time the radio or BCM loose power.

today like 1hour ago but yes i see what you mean the radio went from dual to single zone now but the air is still hot

Unhook the battery for a while to reset everything see if it helps.

It'll take it a while to settle in, typically several hours and/or power cycles after power is restored. Do the HVAC buttons respond to input? DOes your A/C button light up?

yes hvac buttons respond and light up also clicking the ac on the buttom and radio makes the compressor click on but no cold air

yes i originally had the 3.0 with manual controls and 7speed fan, i got the radio from ebay and harness with the hvac module also from ebay, but the guy claimed to have bought it from Infotainment i got the part numbers

Unfortunately this scenario keeps happening to people.

If you have a 2017 ram 1500, and with the items you bought from eBay ... You don't have the correct items you need to do the upgrade correctly and will need to replace some things to do it right. The only things you can likely keep will be the radio, 8.4 bezel, and USB setup.

More info will be needed.

i just tested it this morning and the heater stop working also but the blend door actuator keeps moving up and down when i change the temperature, i disconnected the battery and the screen went back to dual climate

Get with @Mpgrimm2 , he is dialed in to what your issue is based off the parts you pictured.
