I've had my TB on and off a number of times, swapped my PTB back and forth with the stocket, and never had an issue.
I learnt my lesson of overtightening from cracking my brother's valve cover on his engine.

There shouldnt be any issue with these unless you guys are cranking the **** out of them. LOTS of manufacturers use plastic intake manifolds with coarse screws.

I stripped one of mine with ease. So it's possible without using too much effort.

my back two were sitting about a 1/4 inch out. sloppy loose straight from the plant. I didn't even use the ratchet to tighten them. just the 8mm and the extension. they DO look like green tapcons straight down into plastic. I wonder what the book says on foot inches - torque for those.
