New to forum..

Used to own a 2002 Silverado with a 4.8l VORTEC then bought and Recently traded a 1984 Camaro Z28 for a 97 Ram with a 5.9l Magnum 360
Has brand new plugs, wires, distributor, intake manifold gaskets, and the check engine light is on, it reads multiple misfire detected and misfires from cylinders, 1,2,3 and 4.. Also it seems to have a loss in power, and it likes to backfire going up hills and lose all power, I went under the truck first day with a hammer and hit the fuel tank and she started to run good again, have power and quit stalling. The firing order is all correct and all vaccum lines are connected and tight. Can this issue be due to the fuel system? And if so which component of the system?

Really love this truck lots of fun and loud with the dynomax exhaust please help! I don't want to scrap it, she has 371,000km!!

Make sure the wires are routed per the tsb. Fuel pump may be having issues also. Check fuel pressure. These trucks have a common problem with the plenum gasket blowing and oil fouling the plugs. Pull the throttle body and check for pooling at the rear near plug eight..

Seems like problem went away, I did a seafoam treatment to it, then drove aggressive full throttle for 10 mins up a large hill like the can says, spent $20 in gas doing so, let sit, put $20 in engine light turned off and then I just did a 10w30 oil change on it. Power is restored, engine quit rattling.
