A/C Issue

I have a 2020 1500 Laramie. When I have the climate control in vent (no a/c) I get cold air and the compressor is running. With the a/c control
in the off position the compressor shouldn’t be running.
is this normal?

I guess I can't say for sure that mine does, but I assume it does as it will just randomly start throwing out air colder than it should be without having the A/C on. And sometimes when the A/C is on it will randomly start throwing warmer air for a bit like it isn't running anymore.

The compressor will run to remove humidity

Even in vent mode? If it’s 65 outside and low humidity and I have the windows down it should not be running but it does.
