AC Stuck On

Hi,
I have a 2017 Ram 1500 Limited. About 60% of the time when I turn the fan on without the AC button pressed, it blows ice cold air. Auto button is not pressed, recirc button is not pressed and AC button is not pressed but it blows cold air and the compressor is on. Anyone have any ideas what could cause this?

The compressors will run occasionally, because if they don't, they will seize up. This is especially important in northern climates where those systems may only be called upon 2 months out of the year. It's normal for these systems to engage the compressors on a regular basis, even when the heat is on.

The AC is enabled when either of the defrost modes are selected. Also the AC will turn on for humidity mitigation even if the truck has manual temperature control.

Same issue with my 2017. I'm positive it's not on but cold air comes out. My truck does this mostly in spring & fall when it's cooler out. Ac & defrost not on. During that time of year I just want outside temperature air blowing, not cold.
