Earliest download I've seen for a USA UAq radio was v18.14.x
see the original fw thread for it. Not sure if would be compatible even if it worked for a radio in another country.
Yes, he tried to update to 18.14. The update failed, now the radio is faulty and he need to do a firmware recovery. Radio was UAQ from Jeep Comass 2017, he tried to update directly to 21.9 from 17.4, but the radio did not accept this firmware

Does anyone have firmware in between 19.9 and 39.6 for UCS? I can only see 39.6 in the drives for UCS. This is my for neighbors radio, I changed the screen for him because it is a 2018 and was delaminated. When I checked his firmware, he was on 19.9. I don't want to attempt installing 39.6 because I might brick his radio. I seen mostly files for UAQ/UCQ/UAS in the drives shared. Could I install UAS 28.3, then go to UCS 39.6? Or do I need to stay strictly with UCS updates? Any help would be appreciated.

I seen on the very first page. There is google drive links that have the update files. They are zip files, so you will need to unzip them after you download them.

If it's the 8.4 unconnect, you should be able to get to 40.xx. Like I did.

22.xx I think is the offical "RAM" max, but 40.xx works just fine.
Been using it since the day after I could get the files downloaded. (I think I built the flash drive wrong, so it failed the first time.)

40.xx is the best version I've run so far. Every other version had some weird quirk before.

And I did the updates while I was driving on the interstate. Because I didn't want to do it on battery, so I just spent 20 minutes driving with no music. HVAC worked fine the whole time. Because uConnect in the '18 doesn't HAVE to have Uconnect to control stuff!

If your on v22.60 or earlier, you need to update to v28.3 first, then go up to v40.1

Some backup files linked in post 2 or 3

I can use the UAS files though even though his radio is UCS? I was actually looking at the oen in the file you shared and only seen 39.6 for UCS but I do see UAS for earlier firmware. Can I use the 28.3 UAS file?

Probably not...39.6 is the only file I have as well. What is their current firmware version?

EDIT: Disregard, I see you said 19.9

From what he told me, he got that radio from. A salvage yard from Calgary Canada and the guys there don't even remember what vehicle they pulled it out of

Just found this thread and updated my UAQ to 39.5 from 30.24. This update fixed the Sirius XM not working on previous versions, and the audio quality is great! Plus off-road pages now work too. Steering angle changes as you rotate steering, transfer case sees change to 4x4, coordinates/altitude changes as you drive, and pitch/roll haven’t changed but I’m on flat ground.

I noticed “installing off-road pages” & “installing performance pages” when radio rebooted after update. I enabled them with alfaobd and it worked. Performance pages loads but gives an error, I might have to enable SRT for it to work.

Does anyone know how to change the settings for off-road pages? I want to see if I can change the gauge units from c to f.

I realize this is a few years old, but what year vehicle did/do you have for this to work? Did you just enable off-road pages with Alfaobd or was there more you did?

So anyone else have their Sirius presets showing the 2nd set instead of 1st group? Must have started after I updated to 40.1. I really don't want to have to reset my radio and lose presets and settings over this. It's annoying, but I may just deal with it. Wish I could soft reset like older 8.4, but I have the 4c 8.4 and soft reset holding tune and volume no longer works.
Yes. Did you find a fix for it?

Nope, just learned to live with it. If i leave it on sirius/xm and it changes to 2nd set of presets my ocd makes me put it back to 1.

A bit of new info for the thread. I added a UCQ (Canadian version of UAQ) to my 2015, 5.7l 6-Speed with HVAC Module 6183973AC. Had problems with Backup Cam (which started working after 24 hours) and Temp Sliders in Climate would jump Hi/Lo but nothing in between and Display Units on EVIC (some in metric, some in imperial). Set my HVAC to Single Zone ATC for days, and it did not help, issues remained, but I left it in SATC and then upgraded the UCQ's software from 22.64 to 28.3 with the UCQ files from @Mpgrimm2 post #2 : Mpgrimm2 backup of the 8.4 files, UCQ file list. Hooked the truck up to a battery charger and left the truck in "run" mode (but not running) to do the software update, after it completed and it rebooted, I saw a few more items installing on the radio screen (USB had been removed after the initial software update completed), after all that finished I cycled the key, and about 15 to 30 minutes later, the temp sliders started working properly. I went to the Units setting and selected Metric, and the EVIC problems appear to have gone away. I am going to try the 39.6 ICQ update, and I will give the 40.1 a try even though it says "UAC", but it is in the UCQ file list. Everything appears to be working, but if anything changes after those last 2 updates, I'll post any new info.

If everything is working to your satisfaction, beware. The next update may not be prudent.

I've observed this update craze for decades, on PCs, phones, and other devices. And trust me, you may lose a feature that is important to you, all for what?

Quit while you're ahead unless you have an intimate understanding that a specific update on your exact radio will yield intended results.

Thanks for updating your thread. This will help others.

Looking at your profile, it sounds like to have a 15 1500 Canadian 5.7L truck. Did you ever get the Single Zone ATC hardware upgrade from me?

@Mpgrimm2, Yes I have a 15 1500 Canadian 5.7L 6-Speed truck, which started life as a Tradesman. I never got the physical items for the Single Zone ATC from you, but I did follow your instructions on dealing with it. During the rebuild of my written-off truck (bought from an insurance write-off with 30,000 kms on it), there was a small fire that started inside and burnt some of the wiring harness. So we replaced the body harness and dash harness from other trucks. The body harness came from a high end Laramie class truck. I added any other wires & connectors I needed to by canibalizing body and dash harness for what I needed, got the Temp Sensor and Humidity Sensor from other wrecks... In fact I've made 50 or 60 different upgrades to my truck, and I'm only about 2 upgrades away from a fully loaded limited edition truck now. (need to still put in a dual zone HVAC box, and a set of pedals to finish memory based pedals) The list of what I've done is really long... I was able to get parts from wreckers at employee prices. So my Tradesman is now very luxurious. Your and Deere Guy's posts/knowledge along with a few others here on the forum, and early editions of Alfa back in 2019, were truly helpful to me back then. I've had the ICQ sitting on a shelf for a couple of years along with an armrest out of an '18, and I finally got time to do this upgrade. There was a thread on here a few years ago, getting guys to list their upgrades, my list at that time is Gord's Mods but I've done a few more since then. You and I had talked about the heated seats/heated steering mod which I was going to get from you, until I was told about the fire and that they had swapped in a newer/better body and dash harness, at which point I didn't need to buy any wiring. I just had to steal a few wiring circuits out of a couple of spare harnesses to make everything work. I still have 2 trash bags from 2019 full of wiring from 2014 and 2015 trucks. We named my truck "Frankie" and call her the "Frankenstein Edition" as she has parts from more than 12 trucks in her.

@RamDiver I won't ***** nilly be giving it a try. I haven't had the chance to check that everything is perfect yet, only the items I initially saw as problems, and the list of items fixed in 39.6 and 40.1 may yet be needed. The UAQ software thread noted that it was possible to downgrade the software if necessary, so I will plan any further upgrades on the facts and not simply "just-because". I make my living with computers and software and I know well the potential problems when flashing something that does not need to be.

Excellent!

Your truck sounds like a fantastic project.

Glad to hear you're exercising some caution. Mike G knows this software much better than I, but I believe some updates are not reversible.

I recall an update that deleted an app to access the use of very old iPod devices, as apple no longer supports the protocol.

If they're all reversible, go nuts.

wil ly is a bad word? LMAO

UAV will not work. The latest UCQ software is 39.6.
